Re: King of the Midwest @ Burg
Dave, is it more pay through the field or just the extra $500 to win? Thanks. Ready for Saturday, maybe the wind will die down and let the track be nice and tacky.

Same as last year. Remember you figured out the payout for me.

Mr. Rudisell,
What size will the crown be? Will it be a flex fit, standard size, or one size fits all? What size will the robe be? Will it fit 5'2" - 5'8" or 5'8 - 6'2". Are the jewels real or simply costume? Is the material color-fast or a lesser blend? Just bored ... : )))) Thank you for the increased payout. It really does make a difference! |
Re: King of the Midwest @ Burg
There could be three kings under a North Star next weekend. King of Bloomington, King of Kokomo and a King of the Midwest!
Its good to be King. Who will be King? Stay tuned! Forcast is improving for weekend but a lot of rain this week. |

i'll more than likely be on the front stretch, they stopped letting handicapt folks park in the backside for free/ I think i'll need to bring a chair with me to stop and rest my busted back on my way in, its a longass walk with no place to sit down and rest from the nearest handicapt parking space over there to the grandstands. management sure as hell isn't making many friends thus far this year, upping the cost of pit passes and charging for handicapt parking on the back side and yes still no onions and pickles!:7:

I'm fairly certain that Lawrenceburg Speedway does not charge for handicap parking. Yes, if you want to park on the backstretch it will cost extra - that is considered premium parking, not handicap parking.
I believe there are plenty of places to park where you will only encounter hard surfaces (asphalt, concrete, etc.) from the moment you step out of your vehicle until you reach your seat. I'm not sure there are any other dirt tracks in the state of Indiana that are as handicap accessible as Lawrenceburg Speedway. |
Re: King of the Midwest @ Burg
Thank You, Sandy.
There are marked handicap spots on the pavement right next to our main front gate entrance, right along the fence. The back stretch is not wheelchair/handicap accessible. It is $10 for back stretch parking. If you have a handicap plate/tag you can choose to park in the marked spots up by the front gate for free. On the front side, the entire midway is paved, and, there are multiple ramps under the grandstands for easy access. |
Re: King of the Midwest @ Burg
well up until last weekend the premium parking as you call it was free if you had handicap parking and it made life much easier for me, I have a busted back and copd as well as other issues making it very difficult to walk. I parked in the handicap parking on the front side last sat when they wanted to charge me to park where I'd been parking for free with the handicap parking ever since they made the track bigger/ and it was one very long and painful walk from that handicap spot to the ticket booth and then beyond to the grandstand:7:

Your track is one of the finest I've been to (over 100 in 30-some states) - a long way from the Lawrenceburg I went to for the first time in 1997 where the top few rows of the stands were roped-off for safety! Thank you for what you do for us and the sport! Jeff, Dayton |
