hot rod is one of my favorites.........a real nice guy.....what a fighter....his injuries were severe.....hope someone will post when he is returning to the track.....if possible i'd like to be at his return to racing...........good luck johnny.....

Last talked to Johnny about a month or so ago and he was doing well! I'd say you may seem him in a Focus Midget this summer and maybe a Champ Car later on.

You know the guy is a driver's driver when he bides his time between Focus Midgets and Silver Crown cars. Johnny can drive the wheels off of any kind of race car, that's for sure. I can remember back when he was a brash little kid racing racing the wheels off of Quarter midgets.:6::6:

I've ran Sprint Cars, T.Q. Midgets, and Full Midgets with him. Great Man! Even bought a Seals It Torque Ball Seal off of him!

Update:

Johnny was racing a sportsman midget at Angell Park on Sunday. He started dead last in the A-main and worked his way up to third or fourth. They talked to him after the race and he said his leg swelled up so much during the race he was having a hard time operating the pedals, but that it felt good and he hoped to race a midget later in the year at Angell Park.
