Ontario Topless Sprints
 

I'm not familiar with this group, but it looks like they may be running at Big Diamond and Lincoln Speedway in PA. On Aug. 8th and 9th this summer. Always happy to see more wingless racing in the area. Anyone been to one of their races before?

They have co-sanctioned several shows with MTS (Michigan Tradional Sprints) that we have participated in over the last couple of years. The owner of the series is very enthusiastic and really seems interested in growing the series.

We did run two of their shows in Canada in 2012 where we had a little trouble, but it was not because of the series. Jim drove both nights and on our first night at Humberstone Speedway must of been the first night for the flagman also as he had no clue on how to flag. And the second night at South Buxton, there was a young lady with apparently more money then brains who ran into our car and flattened our left rear tire. She used the excuse that her brakes failed, but apparently they failed multiple times as she ran into us twice.

Jim (my race team partner) doesn't know it yet, but I've put the two PA races on our calender for us to attend.

Tom I'll have to remember to check back when this gets closer and make sure I stop by and say hi before head inside the track to shoot. I'll be at Lincoln and maybe Big Diamond too.

We ran with Kens group last summer at Humberstone, Ken is a good guy and is trying to get the non wing thing going up there. Hope it succeeds!

I know Michael Fischesser went up and ran with them after a BOSS race last year at ErieZ speedway. he won :)

I am very much looking forward to those two dates as well. It's not USAC, but it sure as hell beats watching a parade

The 82 team will be heading east for this weekend. This will be first time racing in Pennsylvania for us! Thanks Ken!

You're very welcome Nick! Told you I'd do something good some day. I'm smarter than I look you know. Anyway I'd just like to remind teams that we have in place and secured $2800.00US in sponsorship from a private group to help teams with the cost of towing. If a team wants to come to our weekend in PA and they're more than a 5 hours tow from Lincoln Speedway (Abbottstown PA) then they will qualify for the towing assistance sponsorship. Teams must pre-register with the OTS by no later than June 15th to be eligible for this opportunity. 14 US teams and 14 Canadian teams will receive $100.00US each to help with the high cost of towing. Teams will be paid this bonus at the end of the night's racing at Lincoln Speedway with the regular payouts. This towing sponsorship/bonus will be awarded on a first come first served basis. To register please email your name, town, physical address of your race shop, car # and that you want to register for the towing sponsorship to : Ken@ontariotoplesssprints.com.

:27:Ken does a good job I haven't heard anything bad about him, we're on FB together & talk every so often. That help $$$$$ w/ towing is unheard of:32:. It'll be a long drag for Nick as he lives over Grand Rapids area, but he likes to race where ever:44:. Maybe I'll bum a ride w/ him:43:: LOL:5::5:

I did a quick check today at work and I think its just under ten hours from Grand Rapids MI
