HARF Driver of the Year award.
 

The Executive Officers of Hoosier Auto Racing Fans tonight chose Dave Darland as there 2013 Driver of the Year. Dave and the #71P will be featured on our Driver of the Year decals and DD will receive his award at our Banquet on January 26, 2014. Congrats to my friend Dave Darland, Bob Black, President, HARF.

Wow hold on sure Dave is the driver of the year but it will also include the 71p on the decal, as I am sure Dave would be the first to tell you this was a TEAM deal.

Id like to thank everyone that helped him win that award. The Phillips, Stenslands, I think he drove one or two other cars during the year including Burdette's and his midget and champ car owners. All the sponsors he and the teams carry and everyone who works on the cars.

Dave drives the darn things and does a hell of a job. But it takes a team to run up front consistantly and all those are included.

I mean no disrespect to Dave but let's remember that one of those "kids" he spanked won the USAC points along with over 20 A mains(sprint and midget),the Eastern Storm and ISW!!
