Apologies to Tim Lynch and Nick Speidel
I am apologizing to both Tim and Nick and their race team and families for a personal attack I made against them through a text Saturday night at Brownstown. I do not in any way defend my actions. I made a very bad mistake and am very sincere in apologizing.
The two of you have had one of the greatest TQ seasons of anyone in history and I apologize for in any way taking away from that with a stupid remark. I apologize to Brett Hankins as well for dragging him into the situation. I embarassed my car owner Roger Ramsey, my family, and most of all myself with these comments and am shamed for that. Sincerely, Tate Martz |

I dont know a thing about this situation but I do know it takes some ballz to come out in public and apologize for a mistake like that.

Re: Apologies to Tim Lynch and Nick Speidel
I know a little of what happened and while I think it was a bonehead thing for to do, I don't know what tate said but I do know he's a stand up guy who I've grown with and respect highly. It does take courage to apologize on here but thats the kind of guy he is and we all get caught up in the moment

racefan20,
Thanks, but really they should be commended for not reacting and making the situation uglier. As for myself, what I did was a chicken****. |
Re: Apologies to Tim Lynch and Nick Speidel
Tate, way to man up. A lot of us out here need at different times to follow your lead. No, I don't know what was said, and don't need to. But for you to man up for your transgression is mighty impressive in my book.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Tate is one of the nicest guys in the pits. I do not know what was said. But I know Tate is a stand up guy and very respected in the pits and the things said this weekend shouldn't change that.

I just find it funny that your going to call some one out and get the wrong person and now someone's name, who had nothing to do with the earlier post, is involved with it for no other reason than just trying to get attention to your self
Cole smith there sorry I didn't realize it was a requirement to sign your name on ever post on this page my sincere apology |
Re: Apologies to Tim Lynch and Nick Speidel
It's usually a respect thing that we know people's names on here. Keeps the posts legit and not just "another name behind the keyboard"

Joseph Hewitt Liguori from Oldsmar, Florida........ Sorry had to do it...lol

Maybe I should have just said "Mr. Phillips", but I was going by the name signed on a post using your user name.
Really it's beside the point what name I called you. You're the one that jumped in here and hi-jacked a thread that Tate didn't even have to make. They're a great family and always have been, so I'm not going to sit back and let you bash anyone from that family. I could sit here and post my opinion on the whole situation that started it, or the crap that I've seen on the social sites, but choose not to and will keep it that way. You can call me whatever you'd like, 29, but I wasn't that far off, judging by the same last name and all. Plus, there's the fact that your classy post made me laugh a bit. That, plus the fact that I just saw a photo of you holding a nose from the Phillips #64 machine. Way to tag team the post. |
If I were a potential sponsor and looked at these posts, I would say "why bother"? That's what all of this COULD boil down to at some point in time. BASH AWAY!
