Eldora Oct. 12th

Just thinking out loud here about Eldora and the all sprint show on Oct.12th. I know the usual answer i see when someone asks this question but i'm setting myself up for it anyway. Any guesses on how many B.O.S.S. non wing cars might be in the house?

Last year BOSS was part of the Blue Collar Bash and Drew 33 cars and I think I knew all 30 fans that showed up on a cold saturday afternoon. The racing was still very good.

Actually there were about thousand fans scattered but at Eldora, That looks tiny and was probably mostly racers families.

Should be a good show though, Anyone with equiptment still in one piece and wanting to race. Plus BOSS is carrying about 15.

sprintracer82 9/29/13 11:00 AM

I would guess 30 plus cars. As far as I know I'm the only one from michigan making the trip down.

Plus remember All Stars and NRA 360's will be there with 30 cars in each field. Awesome line up of racing.

The BOSS guys were the saving grace of the Blue Collar Bash. Most counts in the multiple divisions were below ten. I do remember the late models only having less than 10 cars - but their feature was one of the best races I had seen in any division all year!

So this could potentially be a show with maybe 90ish cars? Not sure if it would work for us to make the trip but it's got us thinking about it.

sprintracer82 9/30/13 11:26 AM

As long as the weather holds out, I see this as being a must go to show. It wouldn't be far off to see 80 to 90 sprintcars in the pits. This show is for all the fans that hate lower classes.

Come down a day early & come to Waynesfield as they said they are doing the Harvest of Sprints Oct.11 now, They had 41 non wings, 29 360's & 21 mini sprints. I expect that to go up on the 360's as maybe some from up North may venture down now that it is potentially a 2 day show in the area.

On Sunday the 13 th. is the Winchester 400. CRA late models on the super fast Winchester Speedway 1/2 high banks. 28 miles west of Eldora . Year in year out this has been a fantastic race. Happy I can catch both races in the same weekend. Check out Winchester speedway and cra racing's websites for details.:22::22:

If the All Stars and the NRA can bring their average cars counts, I'm betting the BOSS series pushes the total count to near 100 sprint cars in the pits.

Re: Eldora Oct. 12th

34 All Stars, 36 360's, 42 Non Wingers.

Michael.M.72 10/4/13 3:49 AM

I know I'm looking forward to being there! I've been traveling with the BOSS series all year. Buy far some of the most exciting racing I've ever seen. With Kirk winning PPMS, I have a good feeling about the next two weekends!

Ive only been there once and have never camped there. We would like to pitch a tent.
How does it work there? Do ya pitch a tent by your truck in the parking lot or do they have an area everybody goes to?

Michael.M.72 10/10/13 1:07 AM

Kirk Jeffries! Running BOSS and Alstars!

Do they qualify or draw for heat races ?

larsonfan 10/10/13 7:55 AM

Re: Eldora Oct. 12th

I assume the two winged divisions will TT. When BOSS was at Waynesfield earlier this year, if I remember correctly, they drew.

Re: Eldora Oct. 12th

Eldora has a lot of room for camping. Check out the property layout below. With a tent I would recommend lot #5. That is where we will be staying.
