Good question the Fall Nationals at the Burg have been co-sanctioned for awhile now not really sure why this year it is not. The top few in MSCS points will probably be at the Burg, minus maybe Stanbrough since he is not running for USAC points I could see him going to Tri-State.

I wish I could answer that But truthfully I don;t know Their show started out as a MSCS race first couple of years I remember having 73 cars at first race and think maybe 50ish 2nd one then USAC came on don;t remember after that think I got that CRS lol ;)

2or3 weeks ago they had a co sanction race at TTS now they schedule against each other . What the hell is going on ?

Re: MSCS at TSS

Both will have a great show, not sure what TSS is paying, but, if it is $3000 or more to win and $300 or more to start, TSS will have the highest car count!!

Haubstadt and Lawrenceburg are over 3 hours away from each other. What is the "magic distance" between two tracks before it is ok to both run the same night?

It's not the distance it's the fact that most guys run mscs and Usac. I'm sure Tri state will have some cars, but not the normal guys who compete to win there every night. You can probably expect to see Short there and possibly Stanbrough. If Cummmins is in the 21x he will probably at the burg for 10k vs the 2k at Tri state.

its a shame some sanctioning bodies have to be such a pain in the ars'es and start pissing matches/ it isn't fair to the fans and race teams/ but fortunately there are plenty of sprint cars to go around in Indiana and i'm certain there'll be plenty of cars at both tracks and great racing as well!

Really looking forward to this "old school" program with traditional sprints, late models and mods (and tractors) all running together at the TSS. Weather looks really good and I'm pretty sure the racing will be excellent as well... Hopefully the LM's (tin tops, taxi cabs, etc.) don't disappoint too much but actually if given a chance, I think even most of the traditional sprint fans will like the show they put on at Tri-State.

Haubstadt is $2000 to win.

Re: MSCS at TSS

Lawrenceburg could run a non-sanctioned show (or a boss show) on fri. nite (maybe with midgets even) with both paying say 3 g's or so then run the usac show on sat. for the 10:23: g's/ I don't think mr. rudisell is at all interested in ever dealing with mscs again.

Bobby Pierce will be there in a late model. If Chase Briscoe and Kyle Cummins race, they will have the next generation of some of the names I remember growing up seeing at the late model and sprint car weekly shows.

Just go the the track you like best or the track that host the cars and stars you prefer. No matter what , the racing season in Indiana is coming to a close faster than anyone whats. Just enjoy what time we all have left seeing our racing family and the best dirt tracks in the world. It doesn't get any better than this. All the complaining is not going to change the track owners and promotors minds. They will do what is best for them. Thats just the way the ball bounces. We have all been spoiled living in the Midwest with all of these great choices. JUST GO TO ANY TRACK THIS WEEKEND. :15::15:

Top 3 in midwest points all usac regulars with KT at 4th in usac and leading midwest. Seems pretty silly. :7:

Re: MSCS at TSS

People amaze me... You gripe and moan about 2 sanctioning bodies over 200 miles apart running on the same night - really? With this thinking, why would you even have more than one organization? Does the name on the side of the car really matter or is the quality of racing the important part? I hope both events get 30 cars and more importantly, I hope both grandstands are full and the racing is awesome (and safe) at both tracks.

Re: MSCS at TSS

There is no "pi$$ing match" going on between MSCS and USAC. There was a meeting recently among USAC and Indiana promotors setting the schedule for Sprintweek next year and discussing other issues. MSCS is paying their smallest purse of the year this weekend so as not to compete with L'burg's big show. It will be a chance for a small budget team to pick up a win and earn a nice paycheck and to also see some good late-model racing. Late Sept./ early Oct. weather is usually some of the best weather of the year so why waste it? This "clashing of dates" was talked over between the promotors before the season even started so is old news. Both tracks should have nice fields and good to excellent crowds so let's all have fun no matter where we go. Good luck to Putnamville, too.

Hey I got an idea. Everyone just SHUT UP about USAC here and MSCS there!!!!!! We will have three classes of awesome racing, awesome weather, dirt track cheeseburgers, and cold beer. What else more can you ask for? What a bunch of babies!!!!!

I would like to see onions and pickles at LB

AB Racing 9/27/13 5:51 PM

So from what I'm reading the people on here only want one good paying show in the state per Saturday? Most racing season are five months long. That means they're only 20 Saturdays in the season. With two of them being sprint week Saturdays. I my self would like to see more than 18 good paying shows and I think most fans, owner, and driver would want the same? I will be at tristate this weekend because it is less than a mile from my house. But that being said I have put over 4000 miles on our motorhome watching sprint car racing at different track this season. So I myself like a little variety when it comes to track. So good luck to all this weekend!!! Wish I could go to both. Good problem to have in my opinion. :):):):)

Motormasher 9/27/13 6:08 PM

Flora is running too....lol
Late Models will put alot of fans in the stands at TSS & put on a great show. There won't be 20 sprints at TSS....wish I had mine together :(

Thats a pretty bold statement about them not getting 20 cars!!! Its been a long time since tss has had less than 20 cars. I think you will be surprised!! :):)

I think they had less than 20 cars in 2011 when USAC was out of state. I am sure someone else will quickly have better recollection than me. But my memory says it was still a good race.

June 4, 2011, it looks like there were 17 in the feature.

Motormasher 9/27/13 7:06 PM

I say Brady Short, both Fitz's show up, Stanbro & Jeff Bland will be top dogs scappin it out.
