Well I'm ready for a nice heavy, smooth, hammer down night at the Burg! It would make Merrill proud! I still remember the time I went to the All Star Speedweek Opener with Merrill, Dick Schutte, and my Dad. Great night and a late night!

are ya gonna allow rodeo clowns who wear Obama masks? no offense, but why not wait until November to have the rodeo, I hate seein a race nite wasted on:11: anything else. holy craporoly batman, just read that prof. bull riding is the fastest growing sport in the country/ the cowboys who invested $1000.00 to get it started are now worth 4 mil! maybe the winless sprint car drivers should all follow suit and invest a grand to form the 'professional wingless sprint car drivers circuit' and get a t v deal and a big time schedule and watch the $$$ roll in?

Better ice it down good its a hot one. Great race last Saturday lucas oil late models put on a great show. Track was awesome hats off to everyone.

We are down here now, Steve. It's 92* and humid as hell. Obviously, pop up storms can develop at any time. Hit or miss I suppose.

It's a shame. They had a ton of modifieds and a full field of sprint cars. This storm came up out of nowhere. The silver lining; I got to sit in Fishburgers brand new GMC Truck. Nice.

It's evenings like these that I'm glad I live 15 minutes from the track.....feel bad for all the folks who droves hours to get here only to have the skies open up. You could just see it coming, we thought about turning around by the time we hit the end of our street. There were some freaky looking clouds hanging over the track.

Check Radar at 2.00 Looks like we may be in clear as storms north and south seem to have all the energy. Walk in track at 4.00 Sunny. Some fluffys. Hot as hell but track looks nice, Still putting water down.

445 looks like hell breaking out to the north. Tracks packed in ready to go.

515 WHAM but mostly wind and thunder and it stops after about 15 minutes. Ok, We might go after all.

545 on. Rain, Hard rain, light ran, Just rain.

Thanks to the track and all the teams that showed. Nobodys fault. JUST SUCKS!

Next time JT wants a super heavy track, I'll give him a :20:

Thanks to all of you that came to the track last night, the pits were packed and a strong field of race cars. We will be back to racing in two weeks for our final points night, and also will be running the Merrill Downey Memorial for the Modifieds. Have a great Labor Day!

well its 40 below, and I don't give a ----, got a heater in the truck and i'm off to:6: the rodeo ... an old rodeo song I used to cover back when I was a singin cowboy/ actually I had a bunch'a rodeo songs I used to do, just tryin to get everyone in the mood
