Hard to believe that the difference from 5th to last isn't even enough to buy a right rear, and we wonder why cars don't show up

Re: Kokomo Smackdown Payout
5th 1,175 21st 1000 RR 225 Thats what he was getting at, It don't cover the cost of a tire to try to move forward except top three. Park it, Save the RR and collect 1000
|
Unless I'm reading this wrong which is a great possibility, Saturday night it says 21st $1000 and 5th $1175. Nothing about the usac non-member $100 deduction was stated in the above post

Re: Kokomo Smackdown Payout
All the whiners started on this start and park crap last year.Get over it. There were plenty of cars and they raced their asses off. Was best 3 days of season last year and will be again!

Re: Kokomo Smackdown Payout
It's a great paying 3 day show for everyone! Not to mention all the lap money and prize giveaways added. We are lucky this is in our back yard. Support it! :6:

Re: Kokomo Smackdown Payout
Just curious, is there any other sprint car race in the state of Indiana in 2013 that paid $1000 to start?
|
Re: Kokomo Smackdown Payout
I would assume purse structure is same as last year.............Seems like de-ja-vu all over again!
|
The start money is great, just thought with the higher profile race that it would be better across the board. Glad I have all the experts to set me straight. See everyone Thursday

Let me get this straight. This race pays $5k to win each night on Thursday and Friday. It also pays $10k on Saturday. It also pays $1k to make the main. What's the problem again.
Guys ***** when the winner doesn't get enough, guys ***** when it does not pay well throughout the field. But never heard guys ***** before when a NON-WING purse pays $20K to sweep the weekend or $10k for Saturday, or ***** for $1000 to start. |
Re: Kokomo Smackdown Payout
Not one car started and parked. They raced their hearts out. Yes some got into accidents and thankfully were all ok. But none started and parked. They even ran a one on one races( king of the hill) no complaints there and drivers were happy and fans enjoyed the show. Guess what it's back only 2 days away

Re: Kokomo Smackdown Payout
Outside of the big races like Knoxville, making a World of Outlaw show usually only pays $800 to start. Just saying.

Re: Kokomo Smackdown Payout
A local show in PA pays 275 or 300 to start. Let's face it, a RR tire (or even both rears) is one of the cheapest investments you can make in one of these cars. I understand not everyone can afford new tires every week, but if you plan at the beginning of the season to run a race like this, I think you could save enough money ($700?? for 3 new RR's) until the end of august.
