May not need a replacement, I used to watch "Crash" Crockett wheel Dan Walls "modified" with a broken right leg, also ran bikes in the woods with him, and he had a WWll 45cu in Harley, Tony will be fine by Sat, it's only Tuesday, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see him in the car Sunday. Bob

Not so sure about that, Bob. Next race is on a road course at Watkins Glen. That calls for two good legs. Heard Max Papis has already been hired for Sunday. Tested for Tony last week. NASCAR is saying four to six weeks to recover. They don't know Tony. He'll be back before that. :8:

If they let him... NASCAR is being more strict on the racing with injuries thing. We'll see... depends on how bad its broken, and 2 surgeries, doesn't sound great.

Max, and the NASCAR media circus, would end up in Tennessee if they told them he was taking Smoke's place at Knoxville

you got to love it ! ha. they would also be looking for the "sprint girls" in their yellow suits ..:8:

johnnythunderhead 8/7/13 2:18 PM

I don't give a rats-ass who his napcar replacement driver is/ tell me who his replacement SPRINT CAR DRIVER IS!/ actually come to think of it why not put kyle Larson in both the nacpcar and the sprint car/ or would that be prohibitive should he drink the wrong brand of beer or put the wrong brand of motor oil on his hair?

what makes you say that. Why do you think Danica is in one of his cars when there are other young drivers available that have proven ability like Cole Whitt who beat the girl, with the money, every week last year.

Oops, I forgot about the Danica obsession. :deadhorse: I still believe, if he does have a car at K'ville, it won't be a "money man" strapping in.

Cole's Nationwide ride did not get taken by Danica. It got bought by a couple of pretty good open wheel driver's sponsor.

didn't say she took his ride. Just saying she moved up inspite of her performance because there was a ride for sale and she had the sponsor money. Just the way things are now days.
