Scotty Weir is going to be racing in this years Hewitt Classic.

Look for the race format to be released sometime tomorrow or early Friday. There will be qualifying though.

You can twist up any type of promo for a race or throw any amount of money you can at a race but you can only honor a living dirt track legend at one place....... WRP. That right there should be enough of a promo to make any fan or driver want to attend WRP this weekend.

Come on out to let Jack know that you appreciate everything he has ever contributed to the sport that we all love!!!!!

This just in...... WRP flag crew Jeremy and Bridgit have donated $63 to this weekends Jack Hewitt Classic Hard Charger and if that driver is the race winner the. It becomes $100!!!!! Wow!!!!

Great sponsor activation and dollars for the weekly warriors to earn this Saturday at WRP. Be aware that a cold front with rain will move slowly north to south through Ohio on Saturday morning, hopefully clearing Waynesfield, OH by noon to 2 pm. It should make track conditions ideal for the fifth Jack Hewitt Classic. Can't wait!

Please keep in mind that if this front don't move quick enough we will have a rain date of August 4th which is the next day. This race will run this weekend!!!!!! Hopefully we get it in on Saturday.

Would really like to see an Ingle, Myers or the like pull off a win like this.

Jack did just fine last year, Is there something wrong that I haven't heard about Jack ?? He timed 17th I think out of 54 cars. They let him tag the tail of the Main & he pulled off after a couple of laps.

Well one thing we know for sure is that Jack is a man that you cannot predict and he is full of surprises. He is one cool dude and that is what makes this race special. Everyone should put aside time to honor a "living" legend and everything he has stood for in the sport we all love. We are honored as a track to be able to host this event and honor Jack.

Sprintcarfanatic it would always be nice to see one of the WRP regulars take home the cash. It would also be nice to see a Hewitt win this race. There will be at least two Hewitts racing in this race tomorrow.

Again folks.... It's a legend we are honoring not some gimmick to get fans to enter the gate. Jack has taken great strides to put dirt track racing on the map.

Our full intentions are to run Saturday evening and we are thinking we have a pretty good shot at that. However, as unpredictable as Mother Nature has been this season in our area if we would be forced to move to Sunday everything would be one hour earlier. We will also make sure the sprints are the first main even ran.

Weather channel past 24 hr precip map had over an inch and a half for waynesfield.

A lot of rain in the area... Should be tacky fast tonite

I'm still at work right now but getting ready to leave to see the conditions at the track. Yes it rained but actually I think we will be fine. The rain moved through pretty early now we just need a little sun and it will be a perfect race night.

Word is a lot of heavy hitters coming in to the field tonight to race. I never publish rumors but the list of drivers I've heard sounds like this years show will be among the best ever.

Can't wait to see you all at the track.
