Sorry, got to disagree with you there. The best sprint car drivers in the world are in Kokomo, Indiana tonight, hands down. Take their wings off and then let's see who's the best? None of them except a very few, could race with them USAC guys.

Great job Brandon Wimmer, and your team. Not bad for a young team coming together like that.

Sorry, got disagree with you here. I went to Gas City last night and the Kings Royal tonight and it's very good racing both ways. Non-wing is tight, wing racing is high speed both are thrilling to watch. Enjoy all racing, there is good stuff everywhere :8:

If one likes high speed, dust filled parades this is for you. Might want to check the history of the starting positions for most (not all) winners of this event.

Being from Indiana I have seen quite a few of those events here. Actually a lot of the dust filled can't see huggypole parades. The only difference is they go slow...... real slow. Last post on this. Of those going to the Burg be safe and have fun. And congrats to Brad Sweet on the Kings Royal win. Not to many sprint car drivers can make that claim.

Re: $50,000-to-Win#KingsRoyal @EldoraSpeedway

To be honest you are all wrong, The best drivers in the world are ones who can Win in either series. They are mixed some run WoO some non wing.

If the non wing guys are the best of all why did the Wild Child take his wing off and Win the Mopar Million??? He did it against Yeley the year he was unbeatable in Tony Stewart's car. Just sayin

Stevie Smith was second in the Mopar Million with very little non wing experience.

Hamby812 7/14/13 10:48 AM

Because you get around Eldora the same way whether its wing or non winged.....on any other track the odds are much slimmer.

So you're saying you have ran both? Just curious...

According to Google search you haven't raced anything which is fine.

I do agree it is much harder to drive a non wing car period. I found out Wings are much easier to drive on the bigger tracks.

you guys are arguing about this for the umpteenth time and nothing is ever going to be settled. The big news was Smoke calling Kinser "my ******* teammate" that had the crowd buzzing.

I am a huge wing fan.. the racing this weekend sucked... I have to admit.... how about Tony Stewart calling Steve K a A#$ Hole, not once but twice on the public address system when interviewed after Tony crashed? Be last year for Steve K driving with TSR. I just hope Stewart gives David Gravel or Shane Stewart a chance at one of the top rides in the sport.

I think you're making more out of it than what it is. But hey I was wrong once before in my life back in the late 60's. Just read where Bad Boy Buggies also picked up Kraig for 13. Only time will tell. Only Steve knows when it will be his last season. Tony does not have a say on when Steve will be done as a sprint car driver.

Re: $50,000-to-Win#KingsRoyal @EldoraSpeedway

Great KR 30th last night. The track was in much better shape than Friday Night. Eldora gave it a much better effort to get the low groove working and to keep it there. 42 WoO sprinters, 35 NRA sprinters.

The first 25 laps between Sweet, Wimmer, and Schatz was classic action. Then came the Stewart flip. Typical Tony interview after the fact - it is never his fault. Call Steve Kinser what he wishes, but there is a reason why Kinser is called "The King".

Prior to the race, Eldora showed pictures on the big screen of all the previous King's Royal winners (Kings). Kinser was up there many times. I didn't see Stewart's face.

Great night. Congrats to Brad Sweet. He had the measure of them for most of the night and held them off when he had to hold them off. Brandon Wimmer had a great night, too. The speedway had the track in great shape. Big crowd. Everything was great.

Prior to the Feature, as the Eldora Speedway Queen and her Court were escorting the drivers onto the stage, I was surprised at how many fans did not realize that Rico Abreu was a little person. I also realized at that time the ignorance, closed mindedness, drunkeness, and lack of class of a lot of the fans with their comments.

There is definitely a difference between a WoO crowd and your regular weekly sprint car crowd. I get reminded of that at every WoO race.

Wherever you were this past weekend I hope your racing was grand. Mine sure was. Congrats to Darren Long for winning BIG in the NRA Feature. And once again, congrats to King Brad the 30th.

Kyle Larsen started last on Friday and ran 7th with no yellows. He was flat movin'. Feature was great on Friday while Saturday's was great until Sweet pulled away the last few laps. Would liked to have been a fly on the wall listening when Stewart and Kinser spoke after the race. That was a pretty bizarre statement by Tony. Now if Tyler Walker had been his teammate it would be understandable but I thought Tony crossed the line..........and that's coming from a Sammy fan. But it is a contact sport and boys will be boys.

You just read? Kraig's sponsorship with BBB is for the National's and the Final's only.
