Camping (no hookups) will be available on the grounds at Little Belleville starting July 4. If you camp overnight at Tri-City for the Hut 100, you can drive down to BV the next morning. Wally McDuffy, our grounds greeter will be happy to show you where to park. You may park on grounds thru Sat. Night. We are planning some fan fun for Saturday afternoon before the races. Come join us.:

I called over there last week and they said they have electric? I'm hoping that is correct? If not please let us know.

One of my most anticipated weekends of racing. Two nights of midgets at my favorite midget track: Belle-Clair Speedway,Belleville,Illinois.

And one of the nights is a HARF night if my memory is working properly this morning.....

wandak 6/25/13 7:55 AM

Re: fan info for Belleville Bash July 5-6

You are so right. In fact, all three fan club members, HARF STLARFC, and Badger will get in for 1/2 price on Saturday night when they show their membership card at the ticket office. We are also planning some free fun stuff Saturday afternoon for those on the grounds. Hope to see you there.

Re: fan info for Belleville Bash July 5-6

I'll nominate Morty to be the HARF representative in victory lane. His HARF card is getting a bit rusty, and that way he could easily get his $15 worth of fun all in one night.

This guy has done everything from pulling people out of burning houses,to kissing babies and shaking hands on the campaign trail to be a town councilman. Handing out some stuff in victory lane would be easy enough for him to do.

I'll volunteer to bring the stuff over from the HARF headquarters if need be..........

Andrew S. Quinn 7/1/13 9:23 PM

Re: fan info for Belleville Bash July 5-6

I've got the HARF goods packed away in my van for the winner of the Midget and 600 features. Unless something drastic happens,I think I have another HARF member lined up to hand the stuff out in victory lane.

Weather looks good for this weekend, and I'll be headed out early Friday morning for the trip to Little Belleville.

I might have to stop in at Bake U Smile in Rosewood Heights (they sponsor racing) and see what Debbie has cooking for sweet stuff I shouldnt be eating, along the way to Belle-Clair Speedway.I can highly recommend the brownies.......

PS Morty, this is the first weekend of the month,is No Mans Land making taco's this weekend??

Andrew S. Quinn 7/3/13 6:26 AM

Re: fan info for Belleville Bash July 5-6

I hear it good that No Mans Land will be having Taco's this weekend. To bad Hoover is on "House Arrest" this weekend and will miss out.

And I hear that Bake you Smile bakery is making another pan of Brownies. Dont miss out on these!

Also have been hearing some rumors of a cookout on Saturday afternoon etc at Little Bellveville. Wanda K. should have all the details for that.

The St. Louis Auto Racing Fan Club will host lunch for Members of HARF Fan Club and Badger Fan Club at 12:30 on Saturday on the Midway. Must show your Fan Club Membership ID card to get in free.
We will also have a Washer Game Tournament with a Trophy and prizes set for 2 pm on the Midway. No cost to play, just sign up when you get there.
After that we will have a Racing Trivia Contest with a Trophy and prizes. No cost, just sign up as a single player or a 2 person team.
Do not have to be a member of any club to join Washer Tournament or Trivia.
Chaplain Joe will have Chapel at 1:30 open to all.
We tried to get the insurance to OK an open pit time but no dice. Sorry.
Campers can camp for free all weekend but if you want Electric the Fairgrounds is charging $15 per night. They thought that was too good an imcome stream. LoL! POWRi Campground greeter, Wally McDuffy, Sr. will help campers park starting Thursday. If you have any questions, PM me. Look for me at the POWRi Apparel Trailer. Would love to meet you all. Wanda

You'll have to ask Morty more about it, I've never been there. Morty has brought us tacos from there to the Gold Crown. I think its in Alton, not to far from Bake U Smile bakery.

Andrew,

I Googled and I believe I found it. It is located in East Alton, which would mean it would require some out of the way driving. I'll probably stick with 17th Street Bar & Grill barbecue, which also requires out of the way driving, but not much.

Just wondering, has Belleville had as much rain as the Granite City area? Curious about track conditions.

Its out of my way too, to go there, but I have the day off work, and I am also going to visit friends (Morty and Debbie) so driving a few miles out of my way on a day when I have nothing else planned doesnt bother me to much.

A bunch of us were talking about the tacos last night at Kokomo.2 years ago I think we got Morty to bring us something like 60 taco's to the Gold Crown if I remember right. They disappear in pretty short order. And you can only get them the first weekend of the month.

Just something different for the Holiday weekend.

Will Friday & Saturday nights be complete shows or are they going to have qualifying and heats on Friday night and the B-main and features on Saturday night.

Went to the Belle-Clair website and it didn't indicate one way or the other.
