Lawrenceburg or Tri-State?
You guys are the experts, and I'm really just a visitor.
So where will the place to be, be on June 15th? Lawrenceburg has Indiana Midget week while Tri-State has a Sprint Car double take, MSCS non-winged and MOWA winged sprints on the same card. Where will you be, which will be more worth the money? |
Re: Lawrenceburg or Tri-State?
Midgets 5 wide and diving slide jobs on the Burg are kinda hard to beat with NW Sprints on the card.
However Tri State is something to see as well. Chuck |
i can't imagine a better experence than the midgets screaming aroung the high banks of the burg tossing sliders/ and did i mention the burgs local sprint cars (non wing of course) have been fnishing the featch's one 100th's of a second apart?

Re: Lawrenceburg or Tri-State?
Talk about a win-win situation.:6: Since both are, IMO, very well run tracks with NW sprints, you've just got to decide which YOU prefer: Midgets or MOWA. Of course the wild card could be the weather.
Either way you choose, I predict will get MORE than your money's worth.:22: |
Re: Lawrenceburg or Tri-State?
4 hour drive or 40 minute drive? Hmm......Haubstadt it is. And truthfully I prefer sprint cars over midgets anyways.

Re: Lawrenceburg or Tri-State?
Tough call, and I ain't making it.

I tend to not like wings and non-wings on the same card as the track usually slicks off. That's OK for the wing cars, but I like to see a little more grip for the non-wingers. That being said, Tri-State can make it work if anyone can.

Re: Lawrenceburg or Tri-State?
Haubstadt is a twenty-five minute drive, while Lawrenceburg is three and one half to four hours, but I love midgets at any venue, plus sprint cars are the support class, so I'll make the long drive to Lawrenceburg.

Go to the closest,or the one with the least chance of rain....no wrong answer!!

Jesus Christ.... This is gonna be a two week debate. It's a no brainer for me. I live 15 min from TSS. Plus I have never seen wing and non wing on the same card.

Re: Lawrenceburg or Tri-State?
Only time I ever saw wings and no wings was at Springfield mile The Dream Event in 82 83 WoO and dirt champ cars Cars in both classes spread out so bad I walked around and drank beer Do remember Danny Smith sweeping both classes But don;t think that will happen at Haubstadt Should be interesting watch the ol track prep master work his magic:9:

Re: Lawrenceburg or Tri-State?
They just did the mowa and non wing on the same card at Vermillion county speedway earlier this year 39 non wings and 32 wing cars hope this works well for Haubstadt could be some nice double shows like this in the future if all goes well he has the seating and track prep so everyone come out and support this perfect program nothing but headline divisions mscs and mowa nothing else.

Re: Lawrenceburg or Tri-State?
Like some said before purely a fuel tank decision can't go wrong either way, but I'll be at TSS as it's half the drive and I get to already see the Midgets at Putnamville on Thursday! Please cooperate that week mother nature. :D
