What tracks would you like to see the Silver Crown's?
Just a question for everyone, if it were up to you with no concern if it'd happen where would you like to see the Silver Crown cars race?
Me I'd like to see them at Lawrenceburg for sure. And though in general I don't think they'd work on quarter miles (or maybe just some), I think they could make 'em work at Tri-State. |
Re: What tracks would you like to see the Silver Crown's?
I wish we could go back in time and have those big fields again. Having said that, I just wish we could see them without a 600 mile drive, but that applies to sprints and midgets as well. Wish they were on TV but we know how that is these days.

I want to see the Hulman 100 back in May and the Hoosier 100 in August or September!! Bring back Syracuse and add Rolling Wheels or Orange County. Run one at Sedalia too. Williams Grove again too!
If one of my wishes come true, I would be very excited! Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: What tracks would you like to see the Silver Crown's?
Calexpo , Calistoga in Ca ? Irwindale was not bad either the time they ran there
|
Re: What tracks would you like to see the Silver Crown's?
Calisoga, the big 5/8 at night at Hagerstown, selinsgrove, Port Royal, bridgeport,nj.
The main thing is to get them out of Eldora; a once great track thats now been turned to a flat, slow n, ***** type WOO joint. |
Miles! Anywhere and everywhere!! 'Nuff said!

Re: What tracks would you like to see the Silver Crown's?
I've seen them at the Grove, which was a great show. Stafford Springs was also good. Nazareth was good too.
I'd like to see them at Rolling Wheels. Been there a few times, it would be excellent. The Burg of course. Back to the Grove, any mile that would have them. The problem is the big tracks are getting harder and harder to find. They haven't built a dirt mile in a looooong time. |
How about where NAPCAR is running today. Dover!!!!

Bridgeport Speedway, Bridgeport, NJ
Big and wide 5/8 mile dirt. BB MODS fly on it. I no a Champ car would. |
Re: What tracks would you like to see the Silver Crown's?
I've been thinking, I wish we could get a SC race at Williams Grove, named like "The Andretti Classic" since Mario is from Pennsylvania.
|
Re: What tracks would you like to see the Silver Crown's?
Being from the east I would love to see them at Williams Grove and Bridgeport NJ. In New York you have Lebanon Valley Speedway and Rolling Wheels as well as The Moody Mile. The race they ran during Super Dirt Week was cool. I agree these cars should run every dirt mile in the country. Sacramento was awesome!

Re: What tracks would you like to see the Silver Crown's?
Didn't they run Del Mar several years ago? It would be neat to see them run there again.
I was in Sacramento not long ago and I stopped by Cal Expo Fairgrounds and looked the track over. At that time it would take a lot of work to get that track worthy to stage an auto race. At any rate it would be really neat to have a couple of Silver Crown races on the West Coast but I wouldn't hold my breath. |
Re: What tracks would you like to see the Silver Crown's?

Re: What tracks would you like to see the Silver Crown's?
20 Races a year... 10 dirt, 10 pavement
Dirt (5 miles/5 half miles): Springfield Mile Du Quoin Mile Indy Mile Sacramento Mile Syracuse Mile Eldora Terre Haute Knoxville Belleville KS Williams Grove Pavement (5 half miles/ 2 0.75 miles/ 3 1+ miles): Toledo IRP (Hall of Fame) Iowa Milwaukee Gateway Winchester Salem Dover (YES I said Dover!) Bristol Richmond This series needs to tag some of the big pavement races on NAPCAR weekend and try to get some tv time and do whatever they can to get the pavement counts to match the dirt ones. The racing at Gateway was off the hook this weekend! I think 20 races is a perfect amount and would make it worthwhile to buy a car(s). I love these cars and want to see this series come back! |
I agree with K-Dawg30, except ditch the Dover race and put in Nazareth.

Revive the Copper World at Phoenix.
Syracuse Bridgeport Hagerstown Williams Grove Richmond Knoxville |
Re: What tracks would you like to see the Silver Crown's?
Churchill Downs
Pimlico Race Course Belmont Park A triple crown race series series for the Silver Crown. 100k to the three race series champ and a 250K bonus to any driver who could win all three. My pipe dream. |
I would say another race under the lights at DuQuoin. They don't get enough credit for what an awesome racetrack and beautiful facility they have. I'd love to see a 3-crown event where they run midgets indoors in the southern Illinois center, sprintcars at Mt. Vernon, and a 100-miler at the fairgrounds. Put those beautiful fairgrounds to use and make it a weekend of racing!
Also, there is tons of dirt miles/horsetracks all over this nation that could be used for the Silver Crown series! That's just my opinion! Posted via Mobile Device |
