Gas City or Bloomington
I will be in town for the 500 this weekend and I am looking on some advice before deciding between Gas City or Bloomington Friday night. I have been to both tracks before but would like to hear some from the local fans. Thanks

Re: Gas City or Bloomington
Bloomington, hands down. The people are friendlier, the seats are more comfortable, you can bring in your own beer and there is nothing prettier than the red clay.
Not to mention the racing is great. |
Re: Gas City or Bloomington
Everyone will have their own opinions on both tracks..but both provide excellent racing, good food, and so on..I will be at Gas City :). Wherever you go enjoy yourself and enjoy your 500 weekend. Have a great day!

Go to the one YOU liked best. Everyone is different. I'll be at B'ton but its also much closer for me and the kiddos. Both are pretty awesome places.

Re: Gas City or Bloomington
I'll simply have to second nearly most everyone else in just choosing which track you enjoyed more.
I'll most likely be at Bloomington Friday (pending birth of my son) and current weather is stating around 68 Degrees with 0% chance of that dreaded stuff. As I do live only a mile north of the speedway too makes it easy to travel, lol :23: Also, so far this year it has been some pretty great racing there. With several drivers coming from deep in the field to either win or top 5 finish for their efforts. Who wouldn't enjoy that? |
Re: Gas City or Bloomington
I'm planning on Gas City (first visit) but Mother Nature could veto that.

Re: Gas City or Bloomington
I will be at Bloomington on Friday maybe LPS on Saturday and Kokomo on Sunday. Bloomington is a far better race track than Gas City. But I would base it on the weather. Either way have fun!!
