May 27th World of Outlaws @ Lawrenceburg

Memorial Day Monday May 27th, World of Outlaws return to Lawrenceburg Speedway!
Curious if any non winged racers will be a outlaw and put a wing on? Also wondering if Tony Stewart will be back again this year? Looking forward to this show, last years race was great! Hope to see a lot of you all there.

The usual suspects would be my opinion, they all are big names with the World of Outlaws. J.M.O.

What will be the refund procedure if it gets rained out? I'm ready for a good WoO Show, but just want to be prepared. Hopefully it could be rescheduled!

Careful still waiting on refund/reschedule date for Paducah WoO rainout reserved seats and have been told no refunds provided until new date has been set.:11:

VSneader2 5/23/13 10:16 AM

I believe ballou is putting a lid on for it. Hard not too when it pays 800 to start.

Yup seems like Ballou might as he said today is the start of a five day race schedulef. Hopefully he will confirm and I'll go to see it, Im told his Consi Run last year was worth the price of admission.

Chuck,

I can't believe that you missed that Ballou run last year at da Burg. It was worth the price of admission.

This isn't Paducah! This is Lawrenceburg. We don't promote rainouts, in the event of a cancellation we will refund all pre purchased tickets.

it would be so much better if the nonwing sprinters were added to the slate, to race right before the parade

It is what it is so quit complaining. Traditional sprints aren't on the racing card and they won't be. This show has been on the schedule for quite some time and it has been published as such. End of topic.:24:

I agree, Mike. There are plenty of non-wing shows around here so let the Outlaws be center stage one of the few times they're in Indiana this year. Why have non-wing and pay that purse when you don't need them to pull a huge crowd?

johnnythunderhead 5/24/13 1:00 AM

deep breaths mudpacker/ i wasn't refering to this year, but was making a suggestion, my thoughts of improving the show for the future, purhaps making it an open wheel shoot-out for mem'l day, by adding the midgets too, along with the woo and nonwing sprints! whatever they do i'll prolly be there, the burg is my home track and i support it and i feel i have a right to make suggestions, just as track management has the right to incorporate them or laugh at them as they so please.

No deep breaths needed on this end. I am firmly grounded and ready to enjoy racing. Suggestions are always a great way to get your point across. However, if you really want to see this happen in the future, you might just PM Dave and let him know your thoughts on this. I doubt that posting on an open forum will get you what you are looking for. Let Dave know that you want traditional sprints and midgets along with the WOO. Here is a suggestion for you as well. You might start saving your money because the ticket price for that type of show will be high dollar.

New Hoosier Fall Classic
Thurs NW 5g to win.
Fri Winged 10g to win.
Sat 25,000 40 laps

Rain date sunday

Coin toss to determine Saturday wing or non wing

Top fifteen in points from both shows locked in straight up for Sat.

Whatever the format, The remaining ten teams are determined by running two heats each with top ten in points getting the final ten positions.

Done at a time of year that can support it with both top cars and fans.

I can dream.........

johnnythunderhead 5/24/13 12:45 PM

I personally don't think that will cut it Chuck. I believe it would take a Benjamin minimum and more like $125. Pit passes probably would be at least $150. Dream big son, dream big.:18:
