Not trying to step on toes but offer options and variety for the week and this event will be attended well by Late Models and Mods with expanded purses. Sprints, IDK.

July 6th.
Legends of Lawrenceburg Classic/Merrill Downey Memorial Racing to feature: Lawrenceburg Chevrolet Sprints, Late Models, Budweiser UMP Modifieds, & the Impact Sports Pure Stocks.

Didn't see one post about going against the July 4th date there Bill. Just offering up more options so possibly more people will go to it and other events that week, Heck even make a vacation out of it since a lot do anyway.

Yeah Bill. Besides,we need to address how fantastic qualifying was and how the partial first heat was an instant classic. The attendance was a bit shy but those who were there on Saturday were treated to a great, even tho abbreviated, show. Dakota Jackson's 7 or 8 barrel rolls were an extra added attraction and the safety crew was just outstanding. Clauson stunned us all with his superb qualifying effort and the announcers capped it off with their pertinent commentary. The track prep was extraordinary and probably delivered the best track ever anywhere!! The ticket sellers and takers were just great and the concession workers did everything perfectly. The latrines were really nice and the parking lots were tremendous. Thanks Joey!!!
I can't wait till 4 July when they get a chance to do it all over again, without the rain :3:

Gee, why would they not want to schedule against themselves?
