08 gsxr 1000 engine
 

Spiker racing products has a very nice 08 gsxr 1000 Hud Racing Engine. It dyno's at 195. This engine has very little time on the complete fresh rebuild. The engine has stock bottom end, high comp. Pistons, milled head, port and polish work, and degreed cams. Engine comes with billet oil pan. Engine leaks down great and ready to go. Engine had 2700 miles on it.

here is a pic of the engine. You can buy a stock engine off ebay and get it refreshed for under this price.

If you MMSA racers want to beat Farney this it the engine.

That engine is not legal for MMSA. They clarified the already existing rules that no aftermarket internal parts would be permitted I'm sure HUD can make it legal, for very reasonable. He builds one hell of an engine.. If we really cared about farney we would claim him...

We're aware, you were super fast at Eldora... HUD is building us legal R1s. His rebuild price's are very resonable. I wasn't trying to hijack your post just trying to save our series....

Hud Horton or OSR bikes can do your motor work legal just like ours, We went with OSR, But Hud also does great work, Just let either builder know what series you are running and they will do everthing they can and still keep them legal, No High compression pistons or Carella rods.

A lot of 1000 CC racers suffer from what we Muffologist like to refer to as "Motor Fixation Anxiety"

$3.85 a gallon + motor anxiety = no cars. No cars = No series... No series = racing at linton for $60 to win. So enforce the rules, go race and have fun. If you can't enforce them then get rid of them.

All this is crazy just keep the rules simple. Make it stock bore and stroke. engine rule. Its very easy to police and this will end all the crying. If these rules dont change soon mini sprint will fall off again.

AMEN Bore scope for piston dome, heal and toe the cam for lift, slap um on the butt and let um go. If you insist on staying with gasoline send a random fuel sample off ever so often.

You will find your most horsepower in the chassis, shocks, tires and driver.

This is true a setup car will beat HP.
To all of those crying about engine rules races are won at the shop. Take time and work on the car do your homework. Dont just go racing then wash it the day of the race. Its taken me 2 years to win, but I had to learn on my own the hard way.
