*UPDATED* No Way Out 40 Information

First and foremost, there was barely enough snow to cover the ground. So snow isnt really an issue at the track.

DRIVERS!! Dont worry about bringing any extra money for an entry fee, because THERE ISNT ONE! $7,500 to win! NO ENTRY FEE!

FANS! We are going to do our best to make sure that those who are there for the sprint cars will be out in a reasonable hour. Our goal is to have the sprint car feature done by 9-9:30PM. The following itenerary should help make that happen.

Sprint Car Hot Laps
Sprint Car Qualifying
Mod hot laps
TQ hot laps
Sprint car heats
2 modified heats
sprint car bmains
2 modified heats
Sprint car feature
TQ heats
modified bmains
tq feature
modified feature

Schedule could be rearranged, but this is a baseline on what we want to do. Hot laps will begin at 5:30 sharp

Hope this helps out a little bit for those of you coming to Brownstown Speedway this Saturday night!

Its a be there or be square type thing!! lol!! Thanks for the info!! Chris

treecitytornado 3/25/13 2:14 PM

The only other thing that will make it perfect racing is plenty of moisture and a cushion like at funfest. That was awesome. I had hoped we could have the #1SAC Sprinter ready, but we are looking at April 6th as our target date.
Hope you have a great night of racing!

Is there seat marking like the ice breaker?

cmiracingvids 3/25/13 5:18 PM

I would put in the TQ heats right before or right after the sprint B. just my opinion...but just 2 mod heats might not be a lot of time to get your car ready for the B or for the feature.

If that show gets banged out like Saturday's did it will be great. Ran four divisions there Saturday and were done before 10 pm. That's the way everywhere needs to run.:6:

I wish these tracks would get away from letting people blanket up there grandstands,Went to the ice breaker this past sat and the 10 seats behind us were taped up and went unused all night.Total bullsh**

This happens ALL THE TIME, it sure makes it hard if you have to work late and can't get there until about a half hour before races. Wait until sprint week, every track I have been to has hundreds of unused seats, just try and get one , people won't give them up, always saying their friends will be there soon. I think most times its done so they have more leg room. This will always happen until tracks stop this practice.:deadhorse:

Unless you just have to have top row. It isn't going to be a problem so quit whining.

Not always true, Chuck. We have been to many races where the blankets cover much more than the top row ... even in the PIT grandstand! Allowing pre-placement of blankets should never be permitted. It should be first come, first served after the advertised or posted gate opening. Otherwise, sell pre event reserved seats.
Just my humble opinion, of course.

I didn't mean for every event on the saving seats thing. but for the No Way out I expect a good turnout, NOT A SOLD OUT type situation. Both sprint weeks only got about 60-70 percent.

That being said, Its looking more and more like this will happen, Mid fiftys and partly cloudy

WOOHOO!

Chris Nunn 3/26/13 1:56 AM

i have been asked about the format..we are qualifying..thats about as much as i know at the moment. ill find out tomorrow about inversions and whatnot.

Chris what is the Non-Wing Track Record, it's not on the website? Is the Winged Track Record correct from 1999?

Posted via Mobile Device

Sprinter56 3/26/13 6:56 PM

at this point I could give a s*** less what time how much cost how cold wet dry or dampAnna specially aren't worried about reserving bleacher seats hopefully no 1 needs a damn seat it's so bad ass! its a race people a sprint car raceas long as I get teary eyed from methanol fumes I'll be happy as hell I love how many track promoters are out there that don't have a track to promote if you're not fired up about just going back sprint car racing again you have serious issues I'll be there with bells on (not critiquing every little irrelevant detail)

As far as I know the Winged record is correct as 1999 is the last time winged sprints ran at Brownstown.

The non-wing record was set on May 3, 2008 by Brady Bacon, at 14.305 and then on July 15, 2010 Justin Grant tied the record at 14.305.

If non-wing sprints went faster than 14.305 prior to 1999 I don't know about it and I don't think it has happened.

Single car or group qualifing ? if single car are they still going to within their heat? If they do I wish they would invert the top 4 at least

Re: *UPDATED* No Way Out 40 Information

In today's world, how can there be a higher purse without increasing admission???

newracefan123 3/29/13 12:35 PM

So are they allowing us to mark seats tonite or what? If not what time do the gates open?

Chris mentioned to me that he didn't know about marking off seats. He did tell me that the regular show information on the website was correct. It shows that the gates open at 3:00 PM if that is the case. Sorry, that is all I know.

Chris Nunn 3/29/13 2:18 PM

Re: *UPDATED* No Way Out 40 Information

Its $25 at the front gate, and then an extra $15 at the pit gate equaling $40 bucks. No entry fee.

There will be a select amount of tires for sale at the track.

Still heard nothing about marking seats, you can try to get in, if the gate is open that is. And mark down a seat

newracefan123 3/29/13 2:25 PM
