Lawrenceburg Speedway news
Hard to think about racing with the weather the way it is, but all systems are go as we get ready for our open practice next Saturday, and on April 6th is the season opener with USAC Sprints, Budweiser UMP Modifieds and Zimmer Tractor Hornets.

After mostly a snowy, rainy and cold March I was happy to see the sprint cars and mods run. Heck I was happy to see the hornets run. I didn't see any frowning faces while I was there so I would assume the track didn't bother anyone that was actually there.

If they got their early, They got to experience any type of track Lburg is capable of, From tacky and fast, to dusty, to rubber down.
Practice day serves many purposes but the main one is to pack the banks. Believe it or not, you could run a sheepsfoot all day and it won't pack the track like cars pounding on it And BTW, Anyone who *HEARD* something that wasn't fact is automatically on probation. Yeah some cars came in late and it got a bit slick. But it was never paved. :) Oh and Marv, Let that be the only emergency you have this year :) |
Practice pays off! Scott James and Chris Bell practiced at Lawrenceburg and both go on to win last night. Great job guys!
