Missing Trailer-KT Motorsports
:help:
We have had a trailer stolen from Gasoline Alley from Indy Race Parts last night. It was a white 28Ft. Optima trailer with KT Motorsports on the side with an Alabama license plate. The plate # is....80UT63MY. If anyone has any information or has seen anything give Bernie a call @ 317-507-6310, any information would be appreciated! Possible reward leading to the whereabouts of the trailer and contents! Thank you much! |
Re: Missing Trailer-KT Motorsports
Sorry to hear that!
Here's hoping that it gets found and found quickly! But what is up with the Gasoline Alley area? Sniden Racing just got hit the other evening too! Everyone needs to keep their eyes open and catch these creeps! |
Re: Missing Trailer-KT Motorsports
Seems to happen bout every 2 yrs or so. Couple yrs ago some air conditioners were stolen then it was air compressors.

Re: Missing Trailer-KT Motorsports
Probably the same low-lifes who broke into the Indy Fan Zone Trailer from Sinden Racing Service the other night.

Gasoline Alley appears to be a rather prime target if you want to steal race trailers and stuff - because that's where the race cars are...... Let's hope that they catch whoever is doing this..... |

Re: Missing Trailer-KT Motorsports
I suppose it's like Willie Loman, a famous thief, said when asked why people rob banks...his reply - "That's where they keep the money."....sprinter25
Sure it wasn't "Willie Sutton"? I thought Willie Loman was the character in Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman |

I hope they found out who stole KT Jr's stuff and hang the jerks on Monument Circle. Make an example out of a few people and this crap will stop. "If it ain't yours, leave it alone." |

Hard to have kids using that theory. |
Re: Missing Trailer-KT Motorsports
Thats some good news!
If they can't catch the :censor: thieves, at least Kevin got some stuff back. |
Re: Missing Trailer-KT Motorsports
Something I have to let out. I'm not usre if its 100% true but I would say most is. I heard from a friend of mine at Kokomo a lady in the ticket booth gave Kevin a fuel jug and a fuel funnel, when it started to rain and he was drawing his number, to help him out. He took the funnel and jug and as an arogant rich kid kinda smirked like why are you giving me this. He said something about he didn't need it casue they had one but went on his way. My point is this. If your stuff is stolen and you come on a message board asking for help to continue racing and someone helps, even if you have what is being given to you, you should take the item with a great big THANK YOU and not make the person feel like an idiot for helping you out. She didn't know what you had and what you didn't. At least she tried. Take it and see if Bernie or someone would "trade" for something that you needed. I feel bad that your stuff got stolen and am glad some was found. But come on. Acting like a rich punk to that lady was wrong. Now I don't know Kevin but have seen him race several times. I can tell you that I have lost all respect for him because of the little attitude that he let out. What a shame.

I can tell you firsthand KTJR is a nice kid. Before we interviewed him, during and afterwards... nothing but nice. Class kid too. I can tell you firsthand there are drivers who are jerks. Drivers who people think are nice. Try getting the whole story verified by multiple parties or seeing for yourself before you judge. That's the way to handle things. Most people on here think I am a jerk. Ask Dwight Clock, Jerry Spencer, Frank Daigh (hope the spelling is right, Frank!), or Lisa (Midgy) if I am. They know first hand. |
Re: Missing Trailer-KT Motorsports
Not to get in a pissy battle I agree totally about getting multiple stories and I heard the same thing from 2 people that were standing in the ticket booth, becasue it was raining out, when this happened. Such a disappointment. Love the website talk2drivers though!

Who's to say he wasn't mad cause of the rain too. Too much going thru these guys minds. Not making excuses.... And thanks for liking the website! We try hard for it to be a good place to go..... that goes for both of them! |

It's terrible when you have to post references. I hate it when that happens ! :O: . |
Re: Missing Trailer-KT Motorsports
Boy, I've been asked to provide references for people before, but this one for Don is a first. I'm seldom at a loss for words, but have to think about this one for a while. Sure is tempting, though.

Re: Missing Trailer-KT Motorsports
Against my son's advice to just let it go, I would like to address the person that has decided to get on a public racing website and blaspheme my son.
First, I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone that has and continues to help Kevin Jr with support at the track and with sincere niceness. I asked Kevin what was said to the person at Kokomo last weekend when he received the fuel jug and funnel. He did tell the lady that they didn't get his fuel jugs, then smiled (not smirked) and went back to his pit. Maybe at 16, he didn't handle the situation perfectly politically correct, but I can tell you that when he got back to the trailer, he was pretty excited that some stranger would even do that for him. He also said to me this week that he just has a hard time asking or taking anything from anybody, and that he surely didn't mean to offend anyone. Now on to reffering to my son as a "RICH PUNK". It's true, you obviously don't know Kevin Jr. at all. Because if you did, you would know that he is farrrrrrrrr from rich, and definitely not a punk. This pretty much insults our whole family from the standpoint that we would rear our children to be disrespectful to others. This coulnd't be further from the truth, as if it were, my son would not have a race car or anything else for that matter. This is one of our pet peeves from a personal standpoint, and I can assure you that he is one of the most respectful young men you will ever meet. Maybe there's an idea, you should meet him then post what you know, instead of what you think you know. As for the rich part, Kevin Jr started his own lawn care service to make his own money to be able to race this season. He did this because we didn't have what you assume we have in our bank account to chase his dream, so he became pro active on the situation to help the cause. He works for everything he gets. Every day he is the only person that prepares his car for the week, (with some guidance from "Uncle Bernie"), not his crew members (there are none). He loads the trailer himself, pulls it to the track himself, and sometimes races it himself with a little help from alot of nice people in the pits. Not what I would define as a "RICH PUNK". And to say you lost all respect for Kevin Jr. is really sad because you decided to do so without understanding the innocent mindset of a 16 year old kid from Alabama that is used to working his tail off to get anything, and is not used to the kindness of the person that offered the fuel jug and funnel, and didn't handle that situation like a veteran politician. Thanks for letting me tell you about the REAL KEVIN THOMAS, JR. P.S. Prime Example. I told him not to go to Kokomo tonight because money was low, but he hitched a ride with a buddy just so he could apologize to the lady at the ticket booth. Thanks, Kevin Thomas, Sr. 256-339-7125 |
