Please, No More Klepper-less USAC Shows

Rob's knowledge of the participants and his ability to keep the show moving along and entertaining, during the non green flag moments, was definitely missed Saturday night. What they had in place of him, the other night, can only be compared to Chinese water torture. I'm not kidding. It was bad.

Bloomington's the only exception, to the title of my thread.

Jerry

Jerry, I definitely agree with you. I could go on and on about the tracks where I wish I could hear Klepper instead of whoever the track's got. He should announce EVERY USAC show.:thumb

My personal favorite was, Damion Gardner. He was called The Damion more than once. That must be a new one.

How about how he kept referring to the spin out king Kevin Thomas Jr. as a second generation driver.

He is no relation to the Kevin Thomas that drove a few years back.

Dose'nt this guy do any research?

I thought I remember a thread several weeks ago that stated that USAC was canning Klepper along with Staab? I'm too lazy to look it up.

It's possible that the announcer does think this is KT's kid, but, Kevin Thomas, Jr's dad has also driven race cars.

from http://kevinthomasmotorsports.com/
Kevin Thomas, Jr. started his career in racing with BMX bicycles. In 1999, at the age of eight years old, he amassed numerous wins on his way to becoming the Alabama State Champion and finishing tenth place in national points. For the next several years until 2005, Kevin would concentrate his athletic talents towards his traveling baseball team. This avenue also found his pinnacle of success winning the twelve and under World Series in the USSSA baseball series. However, this could not fill his desire to compete on the race track. His father, Kevin Thomas, Sr. was an accomplished 600 Mini sprint driver in the southeast with many wins to his credit, always had the youngster involved with the cars.

Do you really believe that is the guy he was talking about, come on.

It was obivous that he meant KT, not Kevin Thomas .

 So glad to know people have the ability to read minds now.

Someone correct me if I am wrong (it will happen at light speed) but Klepper was not at Winchester Thursday night, correct? The voices I heard sure did not sound like Rob or do the job he has done. Klepper must have been another victim of not kissing the USAC board's collective a$$es. He does a quality job and those will be large shoes to fill.

Pretty sure that not only was Rob at Winchester on the PA but he was on track for driver intros before the feature. I believe they said Saturday that he was out of town.
