First it was Sandy, now its USAC!!!

New Jersey has had it bad enough recently but now I hear that there will be "NO" USAC Sprints at New Egypt this upcoming season. That really "BLOWS" LOL :7:

What a shame as the New Egypt races have been some of the best on the Eastern Storm. Berks you are spot on, the people only speak one way, loud and obnoxious. There is a sign on the fence facing the stands that says Eye Protection Recommended, THIS IS A DIRT TRACK! Really; that is how dumb these people are. They wouldn't know good racing since they never see it and the staff is always on a power trip. Let's just hope other tracks in the area pick up the ball New Egypt has dropped.

Hopefully the GROVE will be back!

I would doubt if you will see the Grove. Nice place, lots of history, but I don't think they were interested in running these shows even when they were on the schedule.

I think, Path valley, Trailways, susky or bridgeport would make a good replacement.

Sounds like to me the same people that run New Egypt run Eastbay.

I'd like to see them give Delaware International a try. A USAC and URC show might be pretty cool!

I don't think them at Bridgeport would be a good show. Too big for em.. I wouldn't mind seeing them at Winchester(VA), Path Valley, or Delaware. If they are back on Lernerville's schedule again, I will be taking 1 or 2 vacation days to see them out there.

USAC should drop the Easter swing. The east is mostly wing warriors and the tracks USAC are getting scheduled are mostly crap!

Gee Shawn you sure know how to break an eastern wingless fans heart!

Dave, I said mostly not all. Atleast there is a few of you that enjoy real sprint car racing. I guess we are all spoiled back here in the mid west. :32:

Hey Shawn: keep your comments to yourself. A bad track here is better than no Eastern Storm at all. You guys are spoiled back there. I believe by what I read on this board some nights that a lot of the people in Indiana don't know how good they have it. It is nice to have USAC out here once a year to go along with the multiple trips we make out there. Delaware International Speedway would be perfect for USAC as it is the best prepped track out here. you would be happily surprised.

I will give some praise to the eastern sprint car fans as the tracks are well attended for the USAC shows. Maybe not as many campers as ISW, but lots of fans turn out. Racers wanna race, and the promoters wouldn't have them back year after year if they didn't turn a profit. Its a win-win for eastern fans and promoters. As for the drivers and their crews, I don't see how they can even cover the cost of the eastern swing.

The Eastern Swing is the most fun part of the year for me and i haven't been able to do it for a while now... Those who get to go, enjoy it. Those who ***** do so on a regular, nothing new there right? Payout is good, fans are spectacular and the atmosphere is electric. Officials are officials take them with a grain of salt, you're there to put on a show for those fans who definitely reward you with T-Shirt purchases and many other perks giving places to stay and work, long drive there and back but while you are there it seems like home, that is a fact!

Selinsgrove would be terrific. Round, short straights, lots of backin' in.

Re: First it was Sandy, now its USAC!!!

unfortunately, the best tracks for wingless out here cant fit enough fans to pay the purse and it certainly wouldnt come from the back gate.
i dont think i would count out NES just yet if bob miller has anything to say about it.
how about 5 nights at lincoln after someone from indy shows the track crew how to do a track for wingless cause putney sure has the clay flying at the early season races.....so he DOES know how....they just gotta let him.
and no one semed to ***** about port.....so give them a show on the way in and a show on the way out......

Grandview usually puts on a very good USAC show along with ARDC Midgets.:6:

Great post Daron. Us east coast fans miss you putting on a show out here. I wish ARDC could work with USAC somehow so that some guys could bring the Sprint Car and the Midget to the east coast.

Re: First it was Sandy, now its USAC!!!

For the true racing fans here in the east coast, that truly enjoy seeing sprint cars without the tin on top of the sprint car, this is our favorite week of the year. We certainly appreciate everyone who comes in (racers, car owners, crew members, etc.) and race and put this together every year for us, knowing its not easy anymore with the cost of everything. Regardless of the track conditions, its wingless racing at its best. Unfortunately, the tracks and track preppers here in the east coast prepare of the tracks for what they know, winged racing .. not to much going to be done about that. But Grandview and Port last year was some of the better racing last year. I know this wingless/USAC sprint car fan will go to whatever track they are running at in June and watch and appreciate what it is I am watching :9:. Hope to see everyone come in this year.
