I think hes hanging back because if he beats the leader to the line. He will be black flagged. Will be interesting to see how he does for this final start. Starting third on the inside where hes been strong all night.

2 trucks wanting the same real estate didn't work. He drove in there for sure and did everything he could to stay off him but just ran outta room. Great run for Larson

I agree but Michael Waltrip just needs to shut up.....he said Larson basically should not have been racing so hard.....really!!!!!!

This is why I dont watch NASCAR.....way too much whining and not enough racing.

For the record I thought it was more Dillons fault than Larsons....but I guess Richards grandsons do no wrong

It was a boneheaded move. What makes it worse was the other guy was running for a championship. It also sucks that he took out my boy Ryan Blaney.

On another note, I love the Duluth Trading Company commercials.

Agreed. Larson is a racer and going for the win just like all of us would. dillon drove Kyle down as he along side him. Just a racing deal and the announcers talk wayyyyyyyyyy too much smack.....:)

If he's that concerned about points racing Russ, he shouldn't have driven down into the path of a faster car that had a run on him. He tried to block Larson and it just didn't work out. What's Kyle supposed to do? Not race him because he's someone in the points chase?

Could there be any worse announcers than those guys doing the truck race? They kept me away until the last 20 laps. For Mikey and Phil Parsons to talk smack about Larson was funny. Career backmarkers giving driving advice.

BTW. Shrub got used up on the last lap. I thought he showed incredible control both on the track and in the interview.

You're right, it was a bonehead move... by Dillon... chop blocked him, maybe cost himself a championship.

I disagree, if it had been for the win on the last lap it would be understandable. But it was for third with about five laps to go. I just don't think when you are a part time driver in the series you take out a championship contender racing for third with five to go with a bonzai move.

Let me put it this way. If Kevin Swindell had shown up at the final USAC Sprint car race and with about five to go tried to pull a slider racing for third on Clauson or Darland and taken one of them out. There would be calls on here for a public lynching of Swindell.

You obvious dislike Larson very much. Watch the replay bud. Ty was not doing a very good job points racing. He was trying to keep someone way faster than him behind him and paid the price.

You're working off a false premise in your post. He didn't take anybody out with a bonsai move. That's not what happened. Dillon moved down into him. If you want to blame someone, blame Dillon's spotter.

Re: Kyle Larson

The bonehead move was the blocking. I am so tired of this "let them go" mentality. The whole point of racing is to win. The Champion should be the driver who wins the most races, period. Maybe if more people raced to win, the stands would be full. This goes for the local track all the way to the professional level.

When you have to go to the apron because someone is trying to block you, I'd say you did everything you could to miss him.

Also , what the H#LL is racing too hard? I've heard a lot of junk from NASCRAP, but that is downright stupid.

I have nothing against Kyle Larson. I think he is a heck of a race car driver. He also seems like a very nice respectful young man. I would love to see him live out his dream of racing full time with the World of Outlaws. It would be interesting to see what he could do running against the best full time in a first class ride. I also can't blame him for giving that up to chase the big time money. All that being said it was still a boneheaded move. It's just something you don't do in that situation.

He was down low way before Austin. If your racing up front and faster then anybody. You should not have to slow cause another driver made a "bonehead" move. Ill have to go with everyone else. It was not Kyle's fault.

I'm pretty sure Larson was as low as you could get on the racetrack dillon gave him no room...I'm glad he didn't win the championship...he did it to himself

Young Mr. Larson's own comments seem to indicate he knows he messed up.

It would be cool to see him and Ryan Blaney fighting for a championship next year if both can secure full time rides.

Re: Kyle Larson

Interesting to hear James Buescher in victory lane talk about how Dillon had moved down on Larson causing the accident. Guess that's how his team must have seen it. Think they were correct.

scottfor410 11/17/12 11:13 AM

Napcar is about pacing!! Larson is about racing!!!! This is the reason I don't follow NASCAR like I once did. Maybe a few more hotshoes that don't give a damn about the guy he's racing with POINTS would bring me back.

I've always read a lot. And one thing that I've seen that is a common thread in those that aspire to be successful, is that no matter what, they always take responsibility. They own it, instead of wasting time fighting about petty things, on the way to bigger and better things. That's what he did in that Twitter post, IMO. Why get in a pi**ing contest with the guy that NASCAR has been running commercials about, since before that season even began. How smart would that be?

Actually, Scott, I'd say that NA$CAR is about money.

Dillon asked himself, WWTSD. (what would tony stewart do) at Talladega? move down for the block. both looked the same to me. lol

Yes it is!! I just miss the good days in racing, when you beat the hell out of each other and then drank beer with em. Oh and rough fast dirt tracks!!!

This is proof that there's always going to be Larson haters that think he's always in the wrong. When all you have to do is watch the replay of the wreak and see sparks from the nose of Larsons truck hitting the apron. Just like Darrell Waltrip is always defend Jr and the Waltrip team. Makes me chuckle.
