Taking grandsons to 4-crown. Are there any places near by for horseback riding during the day? Also is there a radio am/fm station to listen to track announcer while at the track ? Thanks for any ideas.:22:

If you are willing to drive a little bit, Air Force Museum is not too far away. Otherwise, not a whole lot to do durning the day by Eldora.

I believe the quarter midgets will be racing on the little track during the day.

They usually start around 2 or 3 if I remember correctly. Maybe it has changed. Bicycle museum in New Bremen is pretty cool, 1/2 hour away.

The Garst Museum in Greenville is neat and free if you do not want to give a donation.
Neal Armstrong Museum in Wapakoneta is neat place to visit also. |
Re: Eldora ???
Don't know about the horseback riding, but Annie Oakley's grave is in North Star nearby. Just a few miles south at Greenville is the Garst Museum which has a lot of her artifacts on display. I'm thinking they used to have the Iddings Spl. sprint car that Sonny Ates set all the track records in on the highbanks back in the day also....Anyone out there know if this legendary sprint car is still there?
