Re: Prelude at Eldora
doesnt look good.......i guess the rain subsiding will be in about an hour or so........
|
Re: Prelude at Eldora
If they do run, it will be a heavy track I'd bet! :)
|
Re: Prelude at Eldora
i bet they work there arses off to get this show in. Think about how hard the scheduleing is for it. I know 1 thing, i hate to think what the fuel bill will be to get the track in shape. :)
the last year earl owned the track, they had over 2 inches of rain the night before. it rain that morning too. he worked on that track all day long, and actually turned it into a pretty decent track. Those guys worked hard on it all day long though. That day i thought we were doomed, As i walked into the track, I seen a truck Stuck on the front stretch. they pulled it off and broke out the tractors. |
Re: Prelude at Eldora
well it is for a good cause so they should work thier butts off! i hope they get it in!
|
Re: Prelude at Eldora
I heard Tony say on Sirius that they were working hard to seal the track before the rains came. I would bet that if the rain stops by mid afternoon that they'll get it back for tonight (or maybe early tomorrow). It wouldn't be the first time that they raced to daylight at the Big E.

Re: Prelude at Eldora
Here's a for-instance for those of us that are watching on PPV.
1. It rains out after 5:30 buy time. 2. It is rain delayed and runs long and the PPV time expires. Probably a question for the cable company, but anyone ever encountered this? |

Re: Prelude at Eldora
12:30 update says the sky have cleared and they are working on the track now.
With the pay-per-view (I have dish network) The last time I ordered an event pay-per-veiw we had a storm pop up and knock out signal. We only got to see the first 1/2 hour of the boxing event. 1. they did not charge me and 2. u know how they show it 3 or 4 times in a row, they did not charge me to watch it then. I know direct tv is the same way. |
Re: Prelude at Eldora
Didn't they say that they would have a replay afterwards?? If so then the time should be good.
:dologob: |
Re: Prelude at Eldora
replay right after....i am sure they have opened up a rather large time slot for this....and with it being pay per view there isnt anything after to bump it off.....
D.O. you guys still coming over? |
Re: Prelude at Eldora
O.K. Now that it seems mother nature will play along, who do you think is gonna win this thing? Im kinda hopin for awesome Bill with some of that southern Ernie Elliot horsepower.

Re: Prelude at Eldora
Jerry: Busch finished 3rd last year and put on a show, running the high line.
Busch is running for Lawrenceburg resident and late model standout Scott James, "The Silver Shark," so I'll take him... |
Re: Prelude at Eldora
I'll take Bill Elliott if he qualifies well.
Nobody was getting around there faster last year. Chuck |
Re: Prelude at Eldora
Rowdy finished second last year with a last lap pass on Gordon

Re: Prelude at Eldora
how about reuitiman(?) he has a lot of dirt experiance:thumb

Re: Prelude at Eldora
Robby Gordon in a Bloomquist car is very interesting. No doubt the equipment is top notch, so we'll see what Robby can do with it. However if the track is wet like I think it will be I look for Stewart to win this.
|
Re: Prelude at Eldora
yea, with a wet racetrack it's going to take an up on the wheel guy. one with lots of dirt exp. stewart, shrader or maybe cousin carl again. shrader just won 6 grand last friday against some good cars.

Re: Prelude at Eldora
