LPS according to his Facebook page. They're putting together a Pass the Helmet for cancer research, in the name of Laura Stockon. For everybody going there or The Burg, bring a few extra bucks. It's a great cause.

Donating to "cancer research" is a WASTE OF MONEY!
It's been researched for years and they "the cancer industry" is hiding the answers......Suzanne Summers has already blew them out of the water not to mention many others.

Lets see, do I trust research scientists and highly trained doctors or a has been "actress" to deal with cancer. Yeah, definitely put my faith in Suzanne Somers.

I'm editing this post for 2 reasons. First my point got across and my offer stands. Second I don't want to be any more of a distraction to this post since its intention is to highlight that two good people have made a conscious effort to help those in need. The V Foundation uses every penny it gets for cancer research and has made great strides. Some day, we may just cure this nasty disease. See u all at kokomo. Pete Gulick

You need to just man up and apologize to EVERYYONE that had to read your comment. You should be embarrased of yourself. Regardless of your views on cancer research, how could you voice your opinion like that when the racing FAMILY is coming together to raise money in her name?

With regards to ovarian cancer specifically, research has changed this from a 20% survival rate to 50% through developing better treatments and tests. When you have ovaries I'll take your views into consideration, until then do some looking into facts on your own.


Indeed, the death rates for cancer in the U.S. have dropped by 22% for men and 14% for women between 1990 and 2007. And in 1975, only 50% of people diagnosed with cancer could expect to live for another five years; now nearly 70% do. Among children, the gains are even greater: 80% of youngsters can expect to survive their childhood cancer today, compared with 52% in 1975.

I used to do quite a bit of work with St Jude's Children's Hospital and can tell you research does help - how many years did people bake themselves in the sun before the discovered it is linked to skin cancer.....I could go on and on but it's late.

If you want to donate $2000 of your own $$ to Suzanne in the Stockon family name I'm sure that would be a nice gesture and you can put your money where your convictions lie.

My best friends mother just beat stage 3 ovarian cancer, so this hits home..so glad to see racing family coming together to help one another

Yep you cant beat winning the first night out in a new car and then almost getting the win the second night out. He put on a hell of a race at LPS. Just wish he could have made it 2 for 2. My boy was getting excited towards the end he wanted to see Robert again down in victory lane.

I can't believe that anyone would make a statement like this.:19: Without cancer research, my grandson probably wouldn't be with us today. Much of his life with cancer has been well documented here on the IOW board. Please share with all of us your expert in the "cancer industry" that is giving you all of this inside information?

Also tell us who you have personally been involved with that has or had cancer? Blowing off like this tells me you have absolutely no clue of what you are talking about. Some of your previous posts have reaffirmed that also.

Glad to hear that you are following along with the "stars" from Hollywood to substantiate your claims. It certainly makes all of the break throughs in cancer research that has been made seem so meaningless. Your insight certainly enlightens us all.:17:

When people quote the drivel posted by someone who is already on my Ignore List, I can see that quote and I am quickly reminded of my reasoning for utilizing the Ignore List.
Such is clearly the case in the :11; post denegrating research while extolling the virtues of getting cancer cures via Ms. Summers and her book bag.
