Re: Bloomington Speedway updates

Right from the beginning of this one, Jon Stanbrough really laid down the gauntlet. The way he was bending the 21 around the turns, running his low line, you knew it was going to take an amazing effort from someone, if they were going to pry the trophy away from him, on this night. Early on, the only one who looked like they might be a threat was Brady Short. Brady moved up to the top shelf and began to slowly reel the leader in. Right as he caught him, Stanbrough proved once again, that he has eyes in the back of his head as he made the move that proved to be the winning one. He changed his line to a higher one and just completely took Short's momentum away. The only chance the second place runner would have would be once they got to lapped traffic. When they first got into the backmarkers, Brady closed the distance, but Jon then proceeded to carve up the lappers in impressive fashion. At that point it was over, as far as who the race winner would be. Stanbrough drove off, which was a good thing, because it allowed your attention to turn to what would become the battle of the race. Because Jonathan Hendrick had caught Short and those two just threw down for the last 8 or 9 laps or so. All the way to the checker. Hendrick has really picked his game up this year, as evidenced by his performance tonight (among a bunch of impressive showings). When you can come to Bloomington Speedway and pass Brady Short on the inside, you've accomplished something. And speaking of Brady Short, I've seen quite a few furious finishes this year and most of them have involved Short, in one way or another.

It was another really good night at Bloomington Speedway, with a great feature. Good job by that whole crew. The track was great tonight.

Jerry
