They only have one Sunday night left on their schedule this season. It is Sunday September 2nd.

Paragon had Sunday shows on the schedule but Keith has changed that apparently. Way too many Saturday tracks, wish promoters would get together and see what they could do! Just look at Bloomington on Friday and Kokomo on Sunday and see what car counts could be! Would love a central Indiana Sunday dirt track!!

Sunday tracks take a big hit once school starts. Wish it was like it used to be, out on Memorial Day back to school after Labor Day. I bet kids and parents would like it too.

My wife is a teacher and I can guarantee you the teachers would like it too. Apparently 8 weeks off in the summer is not enough. Excuse me as I duck!! ;)

Would be great if Twin Cities could fix the catch fence and run some Sunday sprint shows. Just wishing.....

It would be nice to see Vermilion County Speedway start Sunday night non wing sprint car shows the rest of this season and the next season. They used to get a decent crowd and car count when they ran Sunday's. Even though that was back when they had late models I am sure they would have plenty of non wing sprint cars on Sundays.

They lost there crowds when school started as well. Now the hour behind for them all year instrad of just winter if they get done at 1030 that's 1130 Indiana time. To late to keep kids up. Fridays had more people in stands then sun did when I worked there for 9 years

Okay. I was simply answering his question and that was if anyone ran on Sunday nights. Is there another track in Indiana that runs sprints on Sundays that I'm not aware of?

Discussion question. Would a track like Kokomo be able to run a Sunday afternoon show that started at say 2:00? I ask this because with daylights savings time, the races usually end during daylight hours anyway. I don't know If more fans and teams would show up if they knew they could be on the road to home by no later for 6ish. Would it effect the race track that much? Just a thought.

Sorry, I didn't mean to step on your toes. I just didn't want the poster to assume that Kokomo was still running on Sunday nights in August. The only other track that runs some Sunday night shows in Indiana is Tri State and they are a special event only track not weekly.

It's very hard to run a dirt track race anywhere in the heat of the day. It would dry out way to fast with sun and cars. Fromplaces I've been to in past and worked they tried day shows gets very dusty and slick. If you remember back last year or year before not sure wasn't there but read in here that tried to run a race at Terre Haute in middle of day drivers couldn't see 5' in front of them on a half mile let alone on a 1/4 mile. Nice thing about Kokomo is they don't waste time getting a show in. We all have jobs Monday morning.
Only Kokomo shows left for 2012 are August 23,24,25 USAC Sprints, Sun Sept 2nd then the Kokomo klash in oct 19,20.
