nope, i put the payoff up yesterday, because someone texted me and wanted it, so i copied and pasted it up from last year from this site and it was wrong. Thanks

---------- Post added at 8:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:12 PM ----------

and i was ridiculed here last year for the payoff being so small for a memorial race for Dick Gaines!! and i agree, so we raised the purse...nothing to do with the MSCS race. All it means is there is more money for sprint car teams to win this weekend at 2 tracks!!:8:
Have a great weekend!!

What I think is awesome is Dave raised the purse without raising the admission. :8:

The way i see it..there will be two well deserving sprint car teams winning $3000 this weekend!!:8:

4wheelsinthekoosh 8/14/12 4:30 PM

Even though I don't make it down there much I want to say thank you dave for giving us drivers and teams more chances to win bigger purses. Like dave said there will be two teams winning 3000 this weekend when it could have been only one. This doesn't hurt the racing it helps the racers. Both shows will be great. Why complain when there are track promoters out there willing to step there game up and put some money on the line.

I agree everyone wants a higher pay out but now they are complaining cause there are 2 good paying shows? I don't understand ... Thank u MSCS and also thank you mr Rudisell for stepping up the purse and posting the entire thing class act as always cannot wait to get motor back we will come and race at your track anytime

I'll be at The Burg, it's closer.

Racingperry4 8/15/12 6:17 AM

Just look at it this way with usac not racing until the smackdown @ kokomo its only going to help raise car counts and.improve the show grab a buddy and go out and enjoy the races be thankful these tracks are flourishing and putting on the best possible show they can week in and week out

We have had the Dick Gaines Memorial every since i have had the track for six years now, plus many many years before that. Always on the same weekend. Its a great race honoring a great racer. We have a great payout from 20th to 1st. No matter where you go to see a race this weekend, i am sure it will be a exciting night.......Have a great weekend of racing and thanks for attending a race, wherever it may be.

Yes, I deleted several posts. I'm tired of all the track vs. track BS!

2 good payouts... 2 well deserving teams will walk away with $3,000. It's good for racers!

Good luck! I hope you guys have good racing!

ByronMack 8/15/12 8:51 AM

Couldn't agree more Bill, just get out and support a track. And also, happy belated birthday.

Thanks Bill!! The weather forecast for the entire state looks great this weekend!! Get out and support a track somewhere!!
Thanks

Allow me to add my 2 cents as a fan, which doesn't add up to much. I enjoy seeing single car qualifying as it is man(or woman) vs.the track. However, I can see how hot laps + qualifying(2 laps per car) can eat up a track come feature time. So if group qualifing is to be used, a cap of say, 4 cars would be easy enough as a fan to follow, and cars can be spread out enough to really give it their best run. Just a thought.

Why bother with time trials, draw for starting spots n race your way in (am i allowed to say that, or is it too much like self expression, or constructive critisism/ which seem to be taboo on this site!)

ill take qualifying of any kind. it is such an important part of racing it takes less time to qualify than to clean up wrecks in the heats when u have guys 2 sec. slower starting in front.we went to lawrenceburg once this year and drew last in our heat. since i had never raced with these drivers before i did not no who was slow and who was fast. they droped the green and going in to turn one on the second lap i was in second slid in hard on bottom leader just changed lanes i was already sliding no way to stop we hit door to door. and i get sent to the tail for rough driving (first time ever in 28 years of racing) on the restart 3 cars get togather in front of me i get collected cost me 2000 $ in repairs. if we would have used r hot lap times i would not have been back there since we turned the fastest lap. and the track would have gotten alot more of my money by now cause we would have went back several times by now and i always bring atleast 8 to 10 pit passes with me. just venting a little lol

treecitytornado 8/15/12 6:47 PM

I like group qualifying too, as long as there are not more than 4 or 5 cars and we can get 4 clean laps.

No one is qualitying to my knowledge. I know that rutnamville is not. And you run there all the time. Hot laps just gives everyone a chance to see where they stand so they can adjust for heats. Most do a pill draw and it gives everyone the same chance period. Sorry Brian you got in a wreck and that sucks. And unfortunally that happens. And alot of people wreck and not just at Lawrenceburg.

Re: Aug. 18th Dick Gaines Memorial $3000/$300

I like Qualifying if a decent invert is made. However, I see no reason given sufficient number of laps (8) plus one per car that a rear starter can't advance. Its when they try to win it in the first lap that all the damage happens.

Last time I was at Kokomo they did group qualifying during hot laps and I thought it was a really good deal. I dont know about other tracks but at this point and time group qualifying at putnamville would be disastrous and hot laps does no good there.

i wasnt trying to beat up on the burg.loved the new fast track! and i do run lps some but not alot if they qualified i would run there alot more.its also only 15 min. from home but if the burg would make good use of the equipment they already have and qualify then i would spend the 200 more dollars in fuel it takes to get there and buy pit passes i trade pit passes at lps for signs so it dosnt cost me much to run there. but if u dont let promoters no what u want there never gonna change.

yes 4 to 6 car invert is what i would want. how often does a car starting 8th win a heat? i win alot of races so i think i no how its done. but when u start me in the back of a heat and how u finish is were u start in the feature u force me to be more aggresive. well isnt that what the fans wanna c? fine than dont ***** were there is to many yellows. and car counts suffer bacause we cant afford repairs. one lap per car? how many races have u watched and seen a driver start in the back pass 15 cars end up in the top five and then said man he was flyin if he would have started up front he would have won. well u can thank the draw and tracks that r not racy in the heats! im just saying that qualifying is the only fair way to start the night period!!! and if u dont agree with that than ur slow or a fan not paying the repair bills

No, Im not paying your bills Brain, However, I wonder if you'd of got the pole in the draw, Would you still have the complaint?

Nothing wrong with Qualifying if the format is racy.
