With some of the NASCAR drivers that come to run dirt races every once in a while or so. One that sticks out that would be cool to see run like a sprinter again would be Jeff Gordon. Thoughts or other drivers that people would like to see a sprinter.

Someone here will suggest a well known driver, which will then be followed by one of IOW's finest stating "they wouldn't have the balls to drive a sprint car.". The other direction this usually goes is with someone criticizing Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman, etc. for ignoring their roots or not giving back to the sport.

One dude I'd love to see in a sprint car..Kyle busch..he has the personality of mud but he sure can wheel a car

I defiately would like to see Gordon back here in Indiana...he was one hell of a sprint car driver

And I would like to see Smoke run without the wing as well. What would be awesome is if some of the guys could make it to the big 3 day usac show at Kokomo. Id love to see a bunch of cars and a lot of guys with wings take it off and make an appearance. :5:

I bet most of the drivers named have a clause in their contract that forbids them to drive an open wheel car and especially a non-wing sprint car. Smoke can do it since he owns his own team and can do as he pleases. He's got the best of both world's going for him.

I wish JJ Yeley would quit putting around the back of nascrap races and come back to sprint cars.

Personally I can live without seeing any of these guys or women run in one. I belive we have some of the most talented drivers in the world already racing in real sprint cars. So go out and enjoy watching your local hot shoes!!!

No one is a bigger Tony Stewart fan than I am. But in my honest opinion if there was a full field of cars the night he ran at THAT this year he would not have even made the A main. JMO

He makes more for running 43rd then he would if he won all of usacs big races in a year. I say keep doing what he's doing. Or instead of stepping back into sprints give him a shot at may. Can't do much worse than clauson did.

IMO....TS is running the winged cars now cause he never did well in them. im sure that has always bothered him and now that he has built his teams with the best drivers and equipment, they are teaching him what it takes to win races in those cars.
he has nothing to prove in non winged cars anymore.

Tony Stewart doesn't race to prove anything to anyone. He races to win! Doesn't matter if it's NASCAR, winged Sprints, modifieds or even little slot cars in some ones basement on the North west side of Indy!

Yeley has ran Indy Cars before. It would be great to get a Sprint Car driver back in the mix, like the IRL started out to be.

What i meant by this was it would be interesting to see them all back in one. They all started there and would be cool to see it again. And yes we do have some of the best drivers out there now but the more the better it is. Who is going to complain because there are more sprint cars there than normal, not this guy. And Tony only runs with a wing now and i think it takes more skill to wheel a non wing compared to a winged car. I have never done it but to me sliding around and sitting the car sideways in a non wing seem like that would be a lot harder.

I wanna see Danica elbows up at Terre Haute and blaming DD, Jones , Throttle or the silent gasser becasue she was in the way and got ran over and then we all could here how it was not her fault or it was the crews fault cause she was slow and in the way and maybe just maybe she can bring her team mate Cole Whitt that is running circles around her and gets no credit or attention or maybe another no name girl that does pretty good that we dont hear a bout Joanna Long. :8: JMO

I would like to see Stewart in a Silver Crown car on dirt again and advertise it ahead of time so more people show up, that is if he can fit it into his busy wing schedule. If Tony is gonna do all this dirt racing then atleast some should be without the wing and they are safer than sprint cars which is why he says he doesn't run them anymore.

Im not bad mouthing Joanna Long, I think for what equipment she has she also is as competitive as Ms. Danica but the Larry and Larry & Daryl and Darrell show wont talk about her either :D

I watched Tony at "Nascar night" at THAT in a non wing sprint car. He was no where close to being the fastest out there, but he was not shy getting into turn one. :31:
