Need prayers for my Dad Danny Williams Sr. he is in the hospital facing open heart surgery this week. He is at Methodist Hospital and we will know more later today.

Anyone wishing to send Danny a card or letter of encouragement can bring them to Gas City I-69 Speedway on Friday and we will see that he gets them.

Just got home from the hospital. As of 6:00pm the surgeon had not come in to talk to my Dad so it is looking like Wednesday or Thursday is when they will operate. He says thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers, I will keep this thread updated when I can. Thank you.

Dad's surgery is Wednesday at 1:00pm. I think he is dealing with it much better than the rest of us. He is looking at it as just getting it done and over with so he can get back to work and back to Gas City.

Stay strong as I am sure that is what he would tell one of us if the tables were turned. God has a plan for all of us and I am sure there is more for Danny to do, this is just a tune up to make him stronger than ever. We will be thinking about you and the entire family.

Dad is out of surgery. Doctor said everything went as planned. He is still trying to wake up but for what he just went through he looked pretty good. Thanks to the IOW family for all the prayers and thoughts to help us get through this.

Dad got to go home today. He was up and walking around by Friday and he was bound and determined to get home by today and he did it. Now he is home and taking it easy and letting the healing process work. Thanks for every ones thoughts and prayers.

For some reason, I know that "bound and determined to get" out of a hospital part very well! Home sweet home! ;)

Best wishes to you Danny...make sure you listen to your doctor about your recovery, and you will be good to go. Don't worry about any downtime..we need that sometimes..
