Yeah USAC sat Butler down for a month or so. If i remember right Steve drove into 3 under Robbie Stanley & Billy & would have came up between them but Billy bicycled on the cushion & Butler was almost infront of him when Billy got all 4 down & drove over Butlers right rear. It got real nasty after that.

I was standing no more than 10 feet away when it happened.

Diz had warned him earlier in the night "do not to touch my car again" then in the feature Steve got into Mike Johnson driving the 71 car again and it was on!
As soon as Steve took his helmet off, Diz open handed him right up side the head knocking off Steve's glasses and all Diz said was, "I told you boy"!:icon_smile_blackeye

Yup, ya just gotta luv Ol' Diz!

Glad I brought that up. Either way, still one hell of a driver. They are all my favorites, just some not as much as others.
