Thanks for all the well wishes. Sometimes things dont quite go as you plan them. I got home this afternoon to find my dog in the backyard squared off with a rather large ground hog. Just as I went out to get it out of the yard they attacked each other. When I pulled them apart the groundhog bit me in the finger, all the way to the bone. Saved the dog, the groundhog got away and I spent the next 3 hrs in the ER getting it cleaned out and about 10 rabies shots, 5 of them in the wound itself. No dinner with my parents, no race. Oh well think I'll try to forget today(except for the other rabies shots I have to get over the next 2 weeks) there is always Kokomo tomorrow.

The dog is fine she didnt get bit but she has pretty much stuck to me like glue since I got home from the ER. Looked for the groundhog after I got back and cant find it so looks like 3 more shots over the next 2 weeks :(

A belated Happy Birthday to you John. Sorry to hear about your altercation with the ground hog.

Was hoping to see you at the track and tell you happy birthday but since a groundhog and rain denied me that privilege happy belated birthday. Just one question though if the groundhog saw it shadow does that mean six more weeks of extremely hot weather?
