Re: lawrenceburg canceled??
what happened to Faas?

Re: lawrenceburg canceled??
Fass, Infield broke. Very close race between TMez and Jon. Jon took lead with 4 to go, Tmez passed him on last lap, Jon passed him back in 4 and TMez beat him to the flag.

Re: lawrenceburg canceled??
Wow, On so many different levels.
Three weeks straight of awesome side by side and multi car battles. and like the first race, There were three our four passes for the lead on the last lap. Not only that, KTjr was side by side with TMez the first half, Jon snagged second and after a lap twenty restart, Jon grabbed the lead for three of the last five with a couple side by side moments. TMez took it back on 23 and laps 24-25 were just plain ARTWORK by two of the best tonight (One maybe of all time) :) Jon was getting loose off four but was as fast or faster everywhere else. TMez in Victory Lane, "The straights were slick and it took every bit of discipline to back out of it to hook up. Sure enough, I did on that last lap and took off!" Hats off to a great run by KTjr. Ole Bub and a heavy right foot. makes a difference! Boespflug who reported he was near death this morning and went to Urgent Care, Came from graveside to the track, Then from tenth to fourth in heat and tenth to fifth in feature. Got pretty dusty tonight. I cursed everytime Rudy put the sheepsfoot on the track as I thought it was overdone before hotlaps. However he had planned for storms last night they didn't get in anywhere near the amounts we got just fourty miles east as here in Mason we got 4 inches of rain in at least five heavy thunderstorms from 4pm fri to 4am saturday. The track was racy as hell, No complaints, I'll take a shower after every race like that and be thankful for it! :8::8::8::8::8:: :8::8::8::8: |
Re: lawrenceburg canceled??
Got a little dirty, but that was a great finish! Thought the crowd was a little on the sparse side.
|
Re: lawrenceburg canceled??
I thought the crowd was decent, What was great is leaving the place and hearing people say, THAT WAS GREAT, I had fun ect.
Kid in front of us (About 12yo) was at his first race, They were from somewhere south of Seymour. In between his texting, he was hooping, hollering and cheering for TMEZ, You could tell he was having a great time. When you have five tracks running the same night, How do you grow attendance anywhere? You get some new butts in the seats. Waynesfield, Paragon, Putnamville, Plymouth, Burg and WoO at Eldora. |
Re: lawrenceburg canceled??
thought the feature was great. it's been awhile since i got dusty a top of section "A" but we mush remember where we are...one thing that kinda pizzed me off was in the mod feature when groomer intentionally spun the #10 of bryan barber because he was going to get beat. on top of that when he spun him he stayed in the throttle and pushed him down the track.:7: b.s.

I grabbed these still screenshots from the jackslash coverage and thought some of you might be interested to see just how close the finish was. Lawrenceburg's start finish line is just past the flag stand and if you're sitting in the grand stands you can see it as they have painted a checkered black/white area on the wall facing the stands to indicate the line. A lot of fans (and racers) don't realize every track has their own start/finish line and you can't always judge who the winner is by assuming unless you know exactly where that track uses to determine finishes. I just thought it was interesting and thought maybe some of you would too.
Oops I attached them out of order - if you want to view in order swap the second and first pictures. Sacha |
Re: lawrenceburg canceled??
Jon said he had to look at the footage to be sure, In Jackslash's vid, its closer than it looked from my view which was pitside of the booth and i thought TMEZ nipped him. Even the video is too close to call. Transponders have no reason to lie and are placed in the same place on every car.
.016 margin of victory! WOW. As for Groomer, I too feel he jumped the second start every bit as much as the first and just my view, Drove into Barber. I don't know if he cheats, its not my job to tech em. I do know hes fast at other tracks as well and the car just don't bobble. In fact the time he did bobble last night was the moment he got passed. ---------- Post added at 3:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 2:23 PM ---------- Sacha, I first looked at the pics and though there was some mistake and saw no cars. The second pic if you look close shows the orange tail about a foot in front of the white tail at the beginning legs of the flag stand, The Finish line is about six feet past that painted on the stage. Thanks Sacha. |

Sacha, I first looked at the pics and though there was some mistake and saw no cars. Thanks Sacha.
Yes, when you see them in the correct order I should have posted them the first pic (second in sequence) I tried to add an arrow to show the orange tail and you can the white tail just above it further behind. The last pic shows the orange car completely out of the frame and the white 21 still in the frame. It was a lot of trial and error to catch but I thought this is a good example to show that a lot of times people "see" things differently depending on the angle you are viewing from. Most scoring towers are dead even with the start/finish line but if you are sitting sometimes just even slightly to the right or left your whole perspective can change on who was running in what position. If you had been sitting on the far right of the stands it may have looked like the 21 got there first. Even video footage can sometimes be misleading depending on the angle and position of the camera. |
