Really really awesome for those of us who Don get each weekend off. Gives me an opportunity to get a Thursday off and still get to see a sprint car race. Very very cool.

Looks like another reason for the wife to get a little more mad at me. Home, I don't need to be stinkin' home, not when I can go racing.

This is absolutely great for both fans and racers. Four nights in a row, every week, of the best racing in the country. Thank you Mr. Spiker.

Wonder how the point system will work? Have to be at every race or they take top 15 runs or something like that.. Pretty cool to run the show on Thursday nights and qualifying also!!

Looks to be the start of something great. I've always wondered why no one had tried for Thursday nights. Count me in for a few races for $10.

I'm both happy for you guys and gals who live close enough to make it to both shows every week and at the same time we're really, really jealous!! LOL!

What's even nicer is it's SPRINTS ONLY on Thursday nights! Over here in The Land O' Lincoln & crooked politicians there's no such thing as a Thursday show. Oh, maybe once a year during the hell tour or summernationals (or whatever they call it these days) for the mud cabs, and even then they run 4 or 5 classes.

Ya'll are lucky over there to the East. :32:Here's to supporting these shows and hopefully it becomes a time honored tradition.

you could add one class - MIDGETS!!! That'd be awesome. But NO bombers, mods, or other crap wagons.

Looking past the simple-mindedness of this guy and his moronic crap wagon comment..

This is a great great idea. One that should have been done a long time ago. Spiker has the guts to attempt this when most promoters thought it would be a losing effort.

Count me in!

I was on the same track when that was mentioned in an earlier post. The first thing I thought was wow is this real and wouldn't it be great if they could add midgets. The only weekly open wheel midget and sprint car show in Indiana. They could just do a pill draw for the midgets to speed up the show.

Another good option would be to let every sprint car race in a feature. This would help out the smaller teams at least be in a feature and get some money and seat time.

Pretty cool. I remember when USAC first started running on tracks smaller than a half mile and Putnamville would run them on Weds. The crowds were pretty good. This is taking some guts by Spiker and crew and I hope it works well for everyone. My only problem is I live an hour and 45 minutes away and don't usually get out of work til close to 5, but that is my problem. I will try to get to as many as I can.

This is just my opinion so do not get mad, I think if you make the show you run the feature if not try harder next time. I also think the midgets would be a good deal. I am worried about burn out for some of the teams, kinda like the last few days of sprint week. Good luck to everybody involved and a big Thank You goes out to the entire Spiker crew.

Would it be great if they could add midgets? It would be fantastic! But, outside of midget week, it seems midget races get maybe a dozen cars. It's unfortunate, but I don't see any way this could realistically happen. But, a $10 Thursday race that should have me home by 11 sounds like a winner!

I would love to see Midgets added to the show. We need to get another track in Indiana to step up and get Midget racing going back in Indiana.

MKTQ17 5/1/12 10:07 PM

I dont think too many open wheel fans would bat an eye at 14.00/head if they got to see sprints and midgets! Imo. Joe usually has one of the highest car counts during midget week and not to mention one of the best finishes last year!

I feel the Sprints only deal for $10. is a great idea. Being in the race business all my life, I have found that I have been priced out of attending most races. This gives us a opportunity to watch what we love at an affordable admission. Sam Stockon Sr

Re: Thursday Night Sprints @ Lincoln Park Speedway

well let me say that this just makes me sick! lousy sprint cars on a dirt track on a thursday night, for only $10...puke! you race fans should do something constructive with your life and not watch little cars go in circles for hours, you all should be ashamed of yourselves!
,,,seriously...i just saw too many happy posts all in a row without some idiot ******** about something, but i'm better now.
Spiker & crew going out on a limb for us race fans here, let's show em we appreciate it and pack the place. My only apologies are to the car owners who now have another night of work, and to my buddy Mike Heimel, whos wonderful Thursday night auctions i will have to miss till the end of race season (or a rainy Thursday night). Eat your hearts out non-Hoosiers, bob:8:
