Clay county sppedway

Sorry, race fans...we have to cancel tonight's show (April 14), but we plan to run tomorrow (April 15). Gates will open at 2:30, hot laps at 4:30, racing at 5:00. We will run the program straight through to allow families to return home at a reasonable time.

With alot of tonights races being rained out, do you figure more cars might show up at Flora tomorrow?

miledirt 4/14/12 3:51 PM

Can anyone name a comparable track to Flora? I've been to Haub, terre haute, Bloomington, Pevely, granite, Belleville

mscs20 4/14/12 4:03 PM

It is similar to Red Hill at Sumner IL. Like haubstadt but much longer straight aways. And wider.
$5 to get in, any age. And they have a decent concession.

Welder, of the tracks you listed its probably closest to the track at Granite after they shortened it from the half mile. I'd expect a pretty big crowd if word gets spread Levi is there. Olney is only about 20 minutes east of there.

That is a big surprise! :39:

The sprint turnout was lower than I would've preferred, but they still put on a good show. And the modifieds put on a good feature. And the crew at CCS did a heck of a job providing a racy track, given how windy it was.

This was my first time to Flora, they have a very nice track over there. I sure hope they can eventually this nw sprint deal work, a full field on the high banks would be awesome.

Re: Clay county sppedway

CCS had a good race last night with 9 Sprint Cars in attendance.

Levi Jones in the #57 took the win, with CJ Leary second..

For our second race, we were happy to finish 6th in our Crowe Equipment, Cummings/Maxim and was running with the pack by the end of the race. The track was super fast due to the rain the day before, and didn't change too much throughtout the night.

Looking forward to heading to Paragon this weekend for the season opener!!
