An MVP added to Jackslash lineup!

Jackslash Media Inc. (Jackslash.com) is making some big leaps in 2012 by adding a second cameraman to the fold.

Dean Mills of Mills Video Productions (MVP) has joined the ‘Slash team and will be shooting selected Indiana Sprint Car events this season.

“This will give our members more value for their dollar and hopefully attract new members,” says Jackslash owner Sean Buckley.

Last season was the first year of doing the “paid content” site and it was only Buckley covering the races.
He would have to choose between Gas City or Bloomington on a Friday night, or Putnamville and Lawrenceburg on Saturday.

“Dean has been shooting and producing sprint car video content for nearly 30 years, says Buckley.”
“He gave me my start when I was 19 years old back in California during the SCRA glory days and he is definitely going to better the Jackslash product,” says Buckley.

“It feels great to be back working with Jackslash Media. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work alongside Sean Buckley, whose skills as a videographer/editor/on-air talent have always been impressive to me. He’s a jack-of-all-trades which is why we call him ‘Jack Slash’. I greatly admire what Sean has built, and how he has begun to fill the growing need for the video medium in the sport of Sprint Car Racing. I am looking forward to once again being part of the Jackslash brand and continuing to help with the promotion of our beloved sport,” said Mills.

Mills will tentatively be shooting about 20 selected dates (if not more) throughtout the 2012 Indiana Sprint Car season. When Buckley goes to Gas City, Mills will head to Bloomington. When Buckley heads to Putnamville, Mills will head to Lawrenceburg. Then the duo will work together at selected Kokomo dates giving members content like never before.

The fun begins this weekend as Jackslash.com will have coverage of Friday night’s Gas City AND Bloomington season openers.

That is a combo that would, can and will put any and all motorsports coverage the world has ever seen to shame...It's like Superman and Spiderman teaming up.. F1, Nascrap, the old Outlaw broadcasts on TNN...even the old Thursday and Saturday night Thunder shows will pale in comparison to the work these two combined will do...

Seems as though I must now join Jackslash as a member

Like I said in my post about him not covering USAC anymore. Lots of great stuff in store for this season. I support him 100%, Its the only way I get to see racing when I'm working 1000's of miles away in either Brazil or Ghana, Africa

When I read the headline, even before I opened the thread, I said to myself that I hoped it was Dean. What a combination! It just doesn't get any better than this. Great news indeed for our sprint car community.

Awesome News!!! I remember a couple of years ago when Dean and Sean worked together on some stuff and it was incredible! Can't wait to see what is in store for the upcoming season. Way to go guys!

Based on where I live, if I limited myself to non wing racing I would see one or two races a year. Therefore I have to diversify. I shoot supermodifieds, north east mods, ump mods, pavement late models, dirt late models, wings and anything else that's races within a 2-3 drive of Detroit.

Having said that, dirtondirt.com (who cover dirt late models only), is the standard a lot of other genres of short track racing imitate. This is for good reason, as this site is amazing for coverage.

I know it's been mentioned on here before, but i hope this new allegiance will make for a unified be all end all website for non wing racing. It's unfortunate that it may not include the most historic better known sanctioning body for these cars. I know this issue has been beaten to death, but a lot of the Indiana scene will never have the popularity and earning potential of a true national series like WoO.

Regardless I know a lot of you are resistant to change and the growth as a result of that change.

I'd love to see a non sanctioned chili bowl sized event in the Midwest for sprint cars. Along with some top notch coverage. Best of luck to Sean and Dean for the hardwork required in an often unloved profession. It's a hard life that I think these two (without knowing them personally) seem to be cut out for. A task a lot of us couldn't make the sacrifices for.

That is awesome news.

The one thing that stands out to me that Sean and Dean worked on a lot was the Jackslash Show. I rememeber watching that about every week when it was on. They always did the weekend wrap ups and gave the results from a lot of non wing sprint car tracks all over the country. They always had a special guest on for a sit down interveiw. I thought those were awesome because it gave the fans a chance to actually see the drivers in a more personal way off the track. I would really like to see that come back as well.

Although it would be awesome to be from the great state of Indiana. For me, thats the best part of the Jack Slash/ Mr. Mills duo, You...DON'T...have to be from the great state of Indiana to keep on top of all the action. With the addition of DeanO', I to will be reserving my top row seat to the BEST sprint car action in the Country !!!! via Slash Media !!! Kudos Mister Buckley !!! :32: :39:

Thanks for the kind words, folks...I am really excited about once again working alongside Sean to bring you folks the exciting racing action of the Indiana Non-Wing Sprint Car scene. Sean has done a fantastic job of furthering the video medium in the sport, and I am very proud to once again be a part of the Jackslash team.

This weekend, I will be covering Bloomington on Friday night for highlights and interviews for content on www.jacklash.com, while Saturday I will be covering the USAC National Sprint Car event at Lawrenceburg Speedway for www.3widenetworks.com, streaming live video of the event, as well as sending highlights to SPEED. Meanwhile, Sean will be covering Gas City on Friday, and Putnamville on Saturday. You will get to see all of the Sprint Car action you can handle from these marquee tracks in Indiana. It's going to be a great weekend, and a fantastic year...Thanks for your support of our endeavors. Sincerely,

DM
