Little 500

I didn't see any post on qualifying....

Pole sitter is Doug Heveron. After that, I'm not sure

They entered their car in the 500 in order to use the 1st half of yesterday to practice for the Banjo 100. Only those entered in the little 5 get to practice prior to the official starting time of the USAC portion of the days events. They'll not be running on Saturday night.

Jacob Wilson and Ryan Litt both were disallowed over rule violation. Went to their pit immediately following qualifying run instead of heading straight to the scales.

I didn't count, but I think only 31 cars attemped to qualify. Of those, after at least two DQ's, only 28 are shown to have completed a 4 lap qulifying run.

28 cars qualified at this point in time. It is raining right now and the radar certainly doesn't look very promising for qualifing in the near future. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

QUALIFICATIONS CONCLUDE MAY 23

The cars of Ryan Litt, Jacob Wilson & Tyler Underwood failed to go directly to tech. This caused their times to be disallowed. That makes 28 cars qualified for the 60th running of the Little 500.

I don't ever remember the field not being filled the first day of qualifing. Normally it is filled with the top 15 locked in and the second day being the bump day. It has probably happened before that I just don't remember it.

I remember a couple of years ago they had to do some qualifying on saturday. Most teams go ahead and get an attempt in the book just in cast of the rain. I just wanted to make sure there were 33 cars there. theres nothing like watching 33 sprint cars comeing down to take the green! I know they will get everything lined out. just hope for a full field

On Thursday, 34 cars were on the grounds. Hopefully, a few more cars will show. About 8-10 cars don't need to be in the 500 as they will get run over at the start.

AMEN TO THAT. u know as well as i do, if theres not 33 cars, someone will bring in there Dirt car, throw a set of slicks on it and pull off after 5 laps. Stupid question but what happened to Hunter Shurenburge? When i was pulling in Wed. I seen the Hot tunes hauler leaving.

Schuerenberg isn't running for Yeley in the Hot Hues car anymore. He ran one of the Walker 11's last night at Terre Haute. Not sure what his plans are off of the dirt though...

Rain has stopped in Anderson. Right now, second round qualiyfing will start at approximately 7-7:30 p.m. after a short practice session. Still 34 cars on the grounds.

I don't have a sprint car,but I can think of better things to do than run a 500 lap destruction derby. Last time I knew an owner could pay his entry, qualify and run a many laps as he chose in any car that met the rules. If a dirt car qualifies so be it. I'll be at ORP anyways.

Second round qualifying for the 60th Pay Less Little 500 is official. Rain shortened qualifying after track officials were unable to dry the world's fastest quarter-mile oval on Friday night. Saturday's weather forecast looks great with a Sunny day forecasted and a high over 70!
