Complete no way out 40 information here

Vernon, IN - The weekend everyone has waited all winter for has finally arrived! The 4th Annual NO WAY OUT 40 at Twin Cities Raceway Park in beautiful Vernon, IN. Last year's event was a tribute race to the 2010 winner of the No Way Out 40, the late Jesse Hockett, in which Dave Darland won. Jesse will always hold a special place in the hearts of everyone at Twin Cities Raceway Park, therefore this year's No Way Out 40 will continue to be a tribute race to him with a special twist. Track promoters Mason and Tawnya Fleetwood have announced that this year's event will be paying $7500 in honor of the #75 car he drove. This year's event will be two nights of racing, two complete shows! Let's make the 4th Annual No Way Out 40 the best one ever.

Reminder camping is always free at Twin Cities Raceway Park (primitive only, NO HOOK UPS). We do ask that all campers please park in the back part of the main parking lot near the entrance. Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.

Re: Complete no way out 40 information here

Gates will open at 11am on Friday. Campers can move in then. However, I just talked to Mason and some of us will be at the track Wednesday evening and you are welcome to come and mark off seats then if you wish. There is no time set in stone as to how long we will be there, so if the gates are locked then you will need to wait. Thank you.

Re: Complete no way out 40 information here

How much seating is there at Twin-Cities ? With not able to arrive until about 6:30 on Saturday , finding a seat might be a problem with everyone being able to mark and reserve seats ahead of time. If this is going to be a problem I'll probably pass on the races this weekend. EVERYTIME I have attended races where fans can mark their turf ahead of time I notice many seats marked with nobody using them. :deadhorse:

copy that!!was gonna be three of us comin down sat only but 25 for a crappy seat???have to think.

Re: Complete no way out 40 information here

I agree. It's bad enough to have to sit through 3 other classes and then not be able to get there until Saturday afternoon after people have marked off seats on 2 days previous? I don't think so Tim! Count me out! Or give me a fair shot on Saturday at a good seat.

Re: Complete no way out 40 information here

last year there were plenty of good seats available when I walked up during hot laps...... If you arent going because of that then you werent that excited about going in the 1st place.

God forbid there are support classes that are there to showcase their stuff in front of a big crowd....

Tell you what, if you want a seat bad enough, tell me where you want one and Ill save it for you myself. Ill be there early enough both days.

Correction Chris, we wont be there on Friday till about 6:15 to 6:30. Like Racefan20 said, if your not gonna go because you THINK you might get a bad seat(which you can see the track from every seat at Vernon) then I dont know what to suggest for him to do. Same things happen at Eldora an nobody complains about seats being marked.

This is a tribute race to Jesse, he always liked watchin him race. Plus he is helping Mason alittle also.

Plan on going both days anyway, Just like to know if friday's show gets rained on, Does Saturdays still run? Like last year? Hope we get em both in. IF I HAVE TO STAND TO WATCH IT. I WILL! Unlike half the pansy's that demand they get their way.

P.S. I'd prefer no pre marking before race day, But I don't make the rules now, Do I?

monkeyboy 3/28/12 4:53 PM

Marking your seats in no way gurantees that's where they will be. Ask the a ssholes who moved our seats down the hill at bloomington sprint week last year.

If I can get out of work by a little after 4 on Sat. I am coming from Kokomo. I figure some place to sit when I get there. Wish me luck on getting off on time.

treecitytornado 3/28/12 5:03 PM

It does look like it may end up a 1 day show again. It's been so nice, but Friday doesn't look good. Wish they would have a few more Sprint shows during the year.

Well Mason has been there all day and one of the other workers has been there all evening and only 2 people have marked off seats, so I really dont think there is anything to worry about at this time.

Eldora has alot more seats and some are reserved. Plus you have the turns and bleachers in the turns. No comparison. :19:

Not to mention Eldora isn't running sprint cars this weekend. Have been going to this early race for several years and can't remember having a problem finding a seat.

Twin Cities Raceway Park is going to do thier best to get this show in! Extra equipment is ready and on standby ready to show up at Twin Cities on Saturday if need be. Lets not worry about the weather at this time...lets worry about having a great weekend and paying tribute to a past champion of this race! See everyone there.

I guess I have all night Friday with no particular place else to be. Forecast is showing the rain moving out by 6pm. As long as we don't get dumped on , who cares how late it starts other than the curfew thing. First sprint race of the year in Indiana. I have plenty of friends to catch up with in the spare time Mother Nature may create. Bring on the weekend, we have been waiting all winter for this. No matter what the forecast says, it's time to get out of the house and get ready to enjoy a long summer of great racing. What a great event to start it off.

I will be attending both nights I'm wondering if I have my ticket purchased for Friday and it does get *%#*+# out ... Will my 15 dollars be good on sat ? I believe the same thing happened last year and it cost me ten dollars to get in the next night just hoping that it would be the same way this year

The way it's looking, hopefully, people won't be buying tickets before it's called. For the fans and racers sake, call it, before everyone gets there!

Explain to me how this is bullcrap in your words? The admission price for Friday night is $15. If it happens to get rained out, the admission price for Saturday is $25. If you hold a ticket from Friday and the track only charges you the additional $10 to get in Saturday how is this a problem?

Really JT???? I don't believe anywhere in his post does it say he got "screwed". FOR EXAMPLE if the races cost $15 to get in one night and the next night cost $25...what this means is he used his ticket from Friday and PAID THE DIFFERENCE on Saturday night. Geesh man, why do you always have negativity??

hupp#9 3/29/12 10:01 PM

Jt just needs to stay off here he never has anything good to say and Evedently he don't want to race as bad as alll of us I'd rather get there and try to race than not at all.. So if your worried about it rain then don't go simple as that don't try to ruin it for all of us

Last year I went on the first night and we got r#!n%& out and was able to pay the difference on Saturday night! I thought that went very well. Hopefully if that situation happens again, which i don't think it will, That will be an option again.

Tyler.

Well said Logan! Tired of people always finding something bad to say for every positive thing mentioned. With today's economy we are all LUCKY that there are any racetracks open. Before long there will probably not be a "Saturday Night" show anywhere around. It will be like waiting on the fair to roll around, it will probably only happen once a year. If we don't start supporting these tracks that give us a place to race and watch the races, they will be history.
