Just wish it was wingless, but supers at Winchester is still Must See. Do I ever wish Bentley Warren had a ride for this one.

I'd like to see them back at IRP too! That was an awesome show in 1995, I believe.

That was a cool show at IRP. I was at the last Winchester supermod race. The day Gene Lee kicked Pat Abold while he was strapped in the car. Should be cool.

Silver Crown at IRP the 19th, pole day. Next day will have to hit Winchester for this.

RacinBabe and I have it on the schedule. It will be interesting to see who will participate in this series. On Saturday May 19th the MSA supers are at Sandusky Speedway while the ISMA season doesn't open until the next weekend. This should be an exciting show for the fans. Looking forward to it for sure.:6:

In Canada our Victoria Day long weekend results in May 21st being a holiday! Looking like I may have to miss my first Toledo ARCA race since 2006. Not like I am missing out on much, Toledo is only an hour away compared to 4 hours for Winchester.

Winchester has always been my favourite paved track, and nothing looks more bad then a supermodified.

Is this series meant to coexist with the MSA Supers? I guess a year and a half ago I thought we needed another winged pavement sprinter series like a hole in the head. It already seemed convoluted, but MSXRSS has had some decent car counts. My concern is since Supers are such finicky, temperamental cars a two race weekend can result in low teen car counts on the second date. Not to mention, when you wreck at Winchester, it's usually firewall deep... and some guys don't wanna risk their cars there.

Didn't mean to be DebbieDowner, it's just Supers in general have never really had the success I think they deserve. Let's hope this can be a new start.

I kinda had the same thoughts, but they seem to be really good promoters and maybe that's what supermodifieds needs for the car counts. Heck maybe in a couple of years they will have A pavement midget series and bring some life back to the midgets. Just my .02$.

I do know this much. You're gonna find out real quick who has the balls in supermodified racing, it'll be the guys who show up at Winchester.

As for Gene Lee and Abold. That one move by Gene Lee pretty much stopped his career dead in it's tracks. He definately was a man on the move career wise until he did that.

I just can't wait for May 20.

Travel money and start money will have a big affect on the car count not many teams in this area.

I saw the Super Mods at Winchester in the '70s. The terms "scary" and "wild" come to mind.

I was also there that day and still feel that was the one single action in Gene Lee's career that kept him from making it in the Nascar ranks.

Wish Randy and Rhonda Burch all the best in their new promoting adventure, they are great people. My only hope is that they work with ISMA when it comes to scheduling, instead of all three divisions trying to run on the same day in different places in the mid-west and north east, dividing the fields even more.

Rumors I am hearing out of Ohio are a select number of teams only want to run local and will stay running with Jaycox at Sandusky and Toledo. The rumors from Oswego all ready have 40 supermodified teams preregistered to run weekly, will some of those teams put a wing on and head to Winchester. Oswego isn't running on the 20th that aong with ISMA not racing will hopefully mean support for the Wichesrter race from both groups.

Maybe Bentley can find a ride with team Dunnigan for Winchester. Helen and Paul Dunnigan Jr. are returning to supermodified racing with ISMA this year, maybe just maybe they would put Bentley in the car for this race. I sure would like to see that. That would be taking a step back in time for me, we were there with Bentley and team Dunnigan the last time the supers raced at Winchester.

All of the tornado activity of the past week had me re-thinking my plans of driving east this year, supers running at Winchester may have me changing my mind again.

This AM i was on the Must See Racing site and there was
