Re: Bad news out of Tulsa
I grew up watching his grandfather Ray Crawford battle Emmett Hahn at the Tulsa Fairgrounds speedway.

Re: Bad news out of Tulsa
Now I understand his mother was NOT killed. Sorry for the incorrect information. Donnie and his grandpa are the 2 dead.

Re: Bad news out of Tulsa
Wow. Not only is this sad news, but it comes right on the heels of the story of Harli White's amazing comeback, from the terrible injuries she sustained in her fiery crash. A comeback that probably wouldn't have been possible had Donnie Ray not risked his life and quickly pulled her from her burning race car. R.I.P. Donnie Ray.

Don't know if its possible, but a missing man four wide salute should be in order as well. Donnie was a hell of a racer, I never got to meet him, but always knew he was fast, and nobody has ever said a bad word about him. Thinking of the Crawford family, and all their friends, and all their friends in the racing world. Posted via Mobile Device |

Perhaps as a measure of respect for Donnie Ray, we could limit this thread to expressions of sorrow and not engage in name calling.

My Mom needed some help in heaven and chose you. I will never forget one of your first races at Eldora. We had a good time that night. RIP Donnie.
