looks like you beat me to it

Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule
Knoxville is gone and is replaced by a 2 day Oskaloosa show. The whole Great Plains swing, as well as a few other things, look to be aimed at being travel friendly to the teams, which makes sense.

Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule

Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule

|
Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule
I'm hoping that Lincoln will fill the 6th date. No way I'm going to get to any of the other days.
|
Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule

Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule
Can't wait for the Hot August nights tour in Missouri, Neb. and Ia. Should be better than last year. A lot of people are working hard to bring non wing racing back to this area.
Grain Valley Speedway in Grain Valley Missouri will be running non wing 410's weekly as well as a new travelling non wing 410 series starting up in the Missouri/Kansas area in 2012. Should be some good car counts for the swing. |
Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule
Wondering if the May 12th sprint race at Haubstadt will be the same night as the Hut 100? The Hut 100 the last few years has been in mid May at Haubstadt.

Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule
August 11th at Hartford (MI) Motor Speedway should be insane on the big 5/8's mile oval.
|
Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule
That early August swing reminds me of the old TNT tour kinda. Too bad they couldn't end it with Dodge City or Lakeside to revive the Ron Shuman Classic.
|
Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule
8/11 I saw Hartford MI on the schedule, watch this place it is fast. Looooong straights & tight turns. :8:

Glad to see Putnamville on there twice, especally the sprint week show. Would love to see the I-94 show that place is bad fast with the wing on, makes Eldora look slow.

Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule
Thank you!!

Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule
To bad no spring shows at Gas City, Lawrenceburg and Kokomo on three consecutive days though.

Is Osky only USAC both nights? Hopefully not a split with wings.

Always good to see the schedule out early. happy to see them running Hartford. I swear you could almost fit Elorda inside that track. Usac had sprints and midgets there a few years ago on separate dates with small car counts and low crowds. around 20 cars each time but as usual a good show. This is a show people should put on their schedule.

Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule
Okay, Knoxville still has on their scheduel USAC sprint cars August 4th. USAC's scheduel has Grain Valley. Grain Valley is probably the biggest dump USAC visited last year and was exciting if you liked idiling around the tractor tires, 305 sprint cars racing with 410s, and dust.

Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule
The schedule on USAC's website has West Memphis, Arkansas listed on Sept. 8th. Never been there, but have always read rave reviews of that place, road trip!

Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule
USAC sprints were at Hartford in 2000...an August Fri night show. Hard to believe it has been that long ago... DD was in the HAR 69...I remember we had the pavement car with us and headed to Salem the next day for the Joe James/Pat O'Conner race. I also remember the place being like a rock quarry...hopefully the track surface is better now.

Since they had a pretty good turnout they scheduled another show in October and it was rained out I believe. If Farmer City does run this coming season it sounds as if it will be unsanctioned, unless there have been developments since I last read about it. It would be the only non-wing weekly sprint racing that I can think of in the state of Illinois. |

Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule
Since THAT is on both the Sprint and SC schedule. I assume there is some promotion deal worked out? Did track Enterprises get it or is it another USAC Run thing?

Re: 2012 USAC National Sprint Schedule
:8: An awesome schedule as far as I am concerned. Lincoln off, Big Diamond on, great adjustment, Lincoln was a yawner this year. Knoxville off, two days at Osky, (Hopefully water included) is definitely better than running on a dry slick track with 360 slot cars. Everybody who hasn't been to the Ditch (West Memphis) need to catch that one for sure, you might even see Jeff Swindell in the field that night. Don't forget Wilmont without wing will be epic. The only addition I would like to see is the return of the Ron Shuman Classic at Lakeside, a great race, awesome trophy, and quality support class the Good Old Time Racing Association who race real classic old cars.
