Re: Hanford updates?
Qualifying order, lineups and finishes are posted on Robert Ballou Motorsports Facebook page as they are received at the track (qualifying order is posted now which is underway currently at the track)
The way it has been relayed to me (which may be false) was that the video seems to be working but there is a problem with the audio. My reply is I'll take video without audio over nothing any day of the week. Feel free to check out the other info posted here: http://www.facebook.com/robertballoumotorsports Per USAC - Bernal has fast time so far about a tenth of the track record set by Damion Gardner in 2005 I'll try updating both places....if anyone would like.... NEW TRACK RECORD: Bud Kaeding sets a new track record at 14.793 seconds *per Robert: Kaeding looked better than everyone in qualifying and he will be the man to beat tonight he has ran here 6 times already this year and for most of us this is our first time all year if at all Kaeding quickest over Bernal - Bloom - Gardner - Stanbrough - Faria - Windom - Hines - Jones - Clauson - Faas - Larson - Rutherford - R Vanderweerd - Murphy - Ballou - Sheridan - Spencer - Ensign - Schuerenberg - R Williams - Roa - East - Hawkins - Kruseman - Bragg - Hood - C Williams - Ballard - Smith - Argo - Welton Heat Races - top 4 to the A - 8 laps Heat 1 3 R Williams 18 Sheridan 11 Rutherford 20 Jones 69 Stanbrough 29 Kaeding 7K Kruseman 20x Ballard 88 J Vanderweerd Kaeding brings out yellow - 5 complete - 18 - 20 - 3 - 11 - 69 - 7 - 29 at the checkers Kruseman upside down going over Rutherfods wheel 18 - 3 - 20 - 69 transfer Heat 2 slightly delayed to clean up Kruseman wreck - per USAC Kruseman walks away track is narrow and fast Heat 2 91R Roa 50 Spencer 10 R Vanderweerd 7 Clauson 2 Faria 11D Bernal 92 Bragg 39 Smith Heat 2 finish Spencer Roa Bernal Clauson...Faria R.VanderWeerd Bragg Smith Heat 3 5 East 3F Ensign 21 Murphy 4x Faas 5x Windom 27 Bloom Jr 33 Hood 19 Argo Windom flips big in heat 3 - he walks away 4 down in heat 3...... 5 - 4 - 27 - 21 - 33 - 19 5 down - caution for Murphy who slides over edge in turn 3 Heat 3 finish: Ensign - East - Faas - Bloom transfer over Hood - Murphy - Argo - Windom DNF Heat 4 3m Hawkins 35 Schuerenberg 73 Ballou 1 Larson 4 Hines 71 Gardner 44 C Williams 62 Welton Heat 4 finish - Larson - Schuerenberg - Ballou - Hines.....C Williams - Hawkins - Gardner - Welton B-Main as posted at track 29 Kaeding 71 Gardner 2 Faria 11 Rutherford 10 R Vanderweerd 21 Murphy 3m Hawkins 92 Bragg 33 Hood 44 C Williams 20x Ballard 39 Smith 19 Argo 62 Welton 88 J Vanderweerd FINISH: Kaeding - Gardner - Faria - Murphy - Rutherford - Bragg transfer followed by Hood - R Vanderweerd - C Williams - Ballard - Welton Per Robert - very little to no passing one lane Feature Line up: 7 Clauson 20 Jones 4 Hines 69 Stanbrough 27 Bloom 110 Bernal 29 Kaeding 71 Gardner 2 Faria 4x Faas 1 Larson 11 Rutherford 21 Murphy 73 Ballou 18 Sheridan 50 Spencer 3F Ensign 35 Schuerenberg 3 R Williams 91R Roa 5 East 92 Bragg 10 R Vanderweerd & 44 C Williams take provisionals **time to refill my wine glass Green flag - 11:56 PM EST - oh wait....restart Cody Williams upside down on start of feature - he's ok RED FLAG - still no complete laps Faas and Rutherford bring out the red Levi coming up on lap traffic 15 laps complete red for Kaeding - Jones leads Stanbrough - Bloom - Hines - Clauson - Bernal - Gardner - Murphy - Faria - Sheridan - R Williams PA Reporting that tear offs are an issue for the drivers. Re: Hanford updates?
It isn't working worth a hoot here. I've got not audio and the picture is freezing up about 4 or 5 times a lap.
The feeds from Perris last weekend and the mods from Vegas last night will spoil you in a hurry. Wish it would work better. |
Re: Hanford updates?
Levi Jones has locked up his 5th USAC National Championship. Nobody's ever done that before. Parnelli Jones, Larry Dickson, Sheldon Kinser and Robbie Stanley won three. Steve Butler won four.

Re: Hanford updates?
I guarantee you, we're going to be seeing more of Ryan Bernal. He's looked real impressive the last two weeks.

Not only did Levi close the deal on his 5th sprint title, but according to the USAC press release on last night's race, Bryan Clauson also mathematically clinched his second National Driver's Championship. Now all that is left to be decided is the midget title, which Clauson will going into Turkey Night with a 21 point lead over Darren Hagen.

NO STOPPING NATIONAL CHAMP JONES IN “THE FINALS” AT HANFORD
SPENCER CLAIMS USAC/CRA TITLE Hanford, CA……..Levi Jones of Olney, Ill. made history Saturday night, leading all 30 laps to win “The Finals,” USAC’s AMSOIL National and USAC/CRA Sprint Car finale at Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway. Taking the lead at the start from his outside front row starting spot in the Tony Stewart Racing GM Performance Parts Eagle/Chevy, he never looked back as he sped to victory over Keith Bloom Jr., Ryan Bernal, Jon Stanbrough and Tracy Hines. Jones becomes the first driver to win multiple USAC National Championships in successive years, claiming the Traxxas Silver Crown and AMSOIL Sprint titles the last two years. He is the first five-time AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car Champion and only the fourth to own seven total USAC National titles. Mel Kenyon and Rich Vogler also won seven and A.J. Foyt won nine. Mike Spencer, who finished 10th, becomes the first to win four AMSOIL USAC/CRA titles, winning four in a row! Car Owner championships went to Tony Stewart Racing (National) and Ron Chaffin Motorsports (USAC/CRA). Bryan Clauson, with a 32-point lead over Chris Windom, has also mathematically locked up the 2011 USAC National Drivers Championship with only one race remaining. Championship contenders Chris Windom and Nic Faas both got upside down during the evening. Windom, chasing Jones for the National title, flipped during the third heat and was scratched for the night. Faas, chasing Spencer for the USAC/CRA title, flipped on the opening lap of the feature. Bud Kaeding, the night’s fastest qualifier with a new track record, was one of three drivers to flip during feature. The others were Cody Williams and Faas. Cory Kruseman also flipped during the first heat.
