Hoffman Auto Racing--2012
From my end of the grapevine I'm hearing no one has been hired for next season. They have resigned Mean Green as the primary sponsor for next year. They are looking for a driver who can win USAC races and also help win their 10th USAC National Sprint Car Championship. They are committed to providing the equipment to run up front and with the right driver are open to changing to a chassis of that drivers liking whether it is a coil or bar car.

Re: Hoffman Auto Racing--2012
Im glad they decided now that they are willing to change chassis considering Daron Clayton put up a chassis of his own this past year so he could be more comfortable in that car and they told him no! So I am atleast happy they are willing to do that for someone else for next year.

Larson was able to win both times in the car and I think it was his first time driving a coil car. I guess it just what you are comfortable with and it's good to see Hoffman's open to changing to a chassis of the drivers liking whether it coil or bar car. Good luck in 2012 |

put the mad man in that car and we would pack the the house every night.

Re: Hoffman Auto Racing--2012
Couple of other guys come to mind. The most underrated driver in Indiana, Bobby Stines is one. The other is one who wins on a shoestring, and is great in a coil car, Chase Stockon. You couldn't go wrong with either one.

You know, I bet the Hoffmans will probably provide a press release when they want to let everyone know what their plans are for 2012.

Re: Hoffman Auto Racing--2012
Justin Grant has a top notch ride and won many races this year in Mark Hery's #40... Ballou does as well... I vote for guys that do more with less and have "earned" a shot...AND DONT ALREADY HAVE A RIDE!!!!!! Its cool to see someone drivng a family owned car get the chance to drive for someone else....The way many of the best like DD started out! I will keep putting these type guys in my racecars before I ever hire someone with a good ride... Thats what makes it all worth it is giving someone a shot and rolling the dice!
Just to be clear... I never said Justin Grant or Robert Balluo havent earned the rides they have....I said Mark Hery and Dallas M. have already provided them with great equipment for 2011-2012 and I would like to see the Hoffmans not hire away a driver but rather hire someone that has earned ther first big shot... |
