I have no idea if there's any truth to what he's eluding to, but I assumed he's talking about Jon Stanbrough. HAR is real good at keeping information like that pretty close to the vest, so nobody's going to know until they want everybody to know.

Yes Jon. I guess maybe I should feel special for even hearing such a thing.

You didn't treat it like it was "special" to you. You took it as an unsubstantiated rumor and threw it up on a message board with over 7000 members.

Notice I said MAYBE I should feel special. Like a bunch of griping woman on here. I guess that's what made me ask on here. I figured all the gossipers might know something. Or maybe I hoped Hoffmans would see it and clarify. Either way. Sorry for asking a question about a driver that everyone cares about. Rumor or not.

The feeling special part was supposed to be a joke. I forgot there is none of that on her. Everyone is so politically correct. Give me a break.go to a dirt track and look around you.

U know. All the people who make this site and all the racing possible. THE FANS. Because without them there wouldn't be any racing. Nor would there this site to talk about racing. Or get ridiculed for asking a question about it and throwing a joke in there with it.

I find it funny u assume I was talking about Jon when I said stash. There are so many people with that nick name aren't there.

Who would be going back to just building cars? Both teams being refered to in this post, the Hoffman's and the Fox Bros, never built cars.

Wrong. There were several Hoffman chassis. :)

monkeyboy 11/9/11 1:42 PM

How tough were those cars on the banks? No matter who they had behind the wheel be it Vogler Stanley Irwin or Michner those were some of the best cars to watch in Funks former half miles.

The number #50 Sprint car that ran USAC with Cameron Dodson and Must See/Xtreme sprint car series now with Brian Gerster is a 1991 Hoffman chassis. The car and Gerster had a good season this year setting fast time and winning at Kalamazoo and Bristol.

A somewhat outdated(?) list below from the HAR website, but yes he did drive for them before.

A quality team (HAR) and a quality driver (Jon), what's not to like?

I think this rumor started because Jon was in the car at Canyon. Jon will also be in the saddle this Saturday at Hanford.

Re: Hoffmans plans?

Being this is just a "rumor" and not really much to pay attention to lets just let the sprint car "silly season" begin and watch for updates. No matter what happens Good Luck to the Hoffmans and Mr. Jon Stanbrough both in whatever endeavors they aquire. Is it race day yet?:D

bfranks17 11/10/11 9:31 PM

Apparently it was something to pay attention to. You did write a message.

Re: Hoffmans plans?

It seems you may be reading into this a little more than needed. All I said was let the siily season begin. Ok know saying that is not meaning anything is silly. Im a Stanbrough fan myself. And Yes I am interested in what happens and who goes where but Im not gonna say who is gonna do what or what I think cause nobody knows what will happen. Not sure why you are being so defensive but mydol may help.

Re: Hoffmans plans?

Let's be frank, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silly_season#Sport... It's gonna be a long and cold silly season no matter who goes where... and an even longer season for some of us.
