Re: Indiana Time Change
Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 2:00:00 AM clocks are turned backward 1 hour to
Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 1:00:00 AM local standard time instead |
Re: Indiana Time Change
Starting in 2007 the federal government (Congress) Mandated the law that daylight savings time starts on the second Sunday in March and ends the first Sunday in November. According to the article I read it added an extra month to DST.

Re: Indiana Time Change
Daylight Saving Time, not Daylight Savings Time.
Just thought I'd be a jerk and point that out. |

I hated it when then they started making us spring back. I'm too lazy to change all my clocks.

Re: Indiana Time Change
Well, to begin with, it doesn't make sense, at least to me, when we have shorter sunlight hrs, they retard the time, hell they don't change the sun, same in the Summer, it's just bassackwards to me. Bob!:)

Re: Indiana Time Change
DST is ridiculous, especially since we are also now on Eastern time. I don't spring forward much anymore ,but I sure do fall back a lot.

Re: Indiana Time Change
TQ29, You can't say "retard the time", it is "mentally challenge the time" now!!!
|
Re: Indiana Time Change
Yeh, you're right, by the time I get over it, and think I have it figured out, it'll be time to advance again. Sorry, no winner! Bob!:)

Re: Indiana Time Change
It sucks here to inside the cheese curtain when you have to mess with the clocks. Dark already at 4:30pm. Maybe that's why we drink so much?

Re: Indiana Time Change
Isn't Indiana kindof on the time cusp. Closer to centeral time rather than eastern time. DLST may be great for New York city but bad for us. They aint sold the cow's and chickens on this idea either yet. Old "Rosevelt" did it to help the store owners make more money. A lot of his ideas weren't too good.
