Re: Gas City I-69 Speedway
How much rain did they get? How does it look for tonight?
|
I got here last night at 7:30 and it started then. It stopped some time after 2 or 3. Its pretty wet but looks to be out of here for the day. Need some sun and wind. Off to the car show.

Anyone coming from the west may have a little more traffic to deal with. This is James Dean weekend and both Fairmount and Gas City, among other things, are having car shows.

Re: Gas City I-69 Speedway
Anyone know what happened to Cottle? I was at Eldora last night watching the worlds fastest parade so I missed what sounds like a great night. Congrats to Josh Spencer on a good run.

The reason Cottle didn't come back out is an offical would not let him ?
He had changed his tire , did he take too long ??? |
Re: Gas City I-69 Speedway
Congrats to Brett and the rest of the Burdette team.

I think Jerry is right. That's what I also understand happened. Shane wasn't happy about it either and when he got out of the car that was all she wrote. Then Billy went out a couple laps later, so the Championship race was anti-climatic. The racing was very good and the track was the best it's been all year. Congrats to Brett on the Championship, he ran great all year long

Re: Gas City I-69 Speedway
Great racing, 2 great car shows, can't say the same for eldora, so much dust couldn't see feature for all the dust. 1200 miles and a lifetime dream gone came to a dust bowl - sure not what we expected. Heats and midget feature were great. Maybe tony's win sunday will give him enough money to do something about the dust problem at eldora. First class otherwise. Enjoyed the terrace and siting in our lawn chairs until we were pretty near black from the dirt.
