Lps with Sprint cars Friday & Saturday. Fans that travel can roll into LPS see a good race on Friday, spend the night and go USAC racing at THAT or see another good race at LPS plus the Patroit 100.
Enough cars to go arounf so should be a good field at both.

I was thinking that didn't DA run against himself at LPS and THAT???

No debate here. LPS. Admittedly, the big issue for me is LPS 14 miles vs. Gas City 140 miles. Both have good racing, but even if they were both next door, the LPS facility is much better for spectators. No wacky seating, no season long taped down blankets, you can sit in a lawn chair, you can bring in a cooler so long as it contains no alky or glass, friendly management, great meet and greet area on the patio, always good car count.

LPS! 150 miles versus about 270 plus all the reasons that Al Pierce stated.

Even if Gas City was 10 miles and lps was 50 miles, I'd go to lps.

I like both tracks, in fact have been to both alot. I will be at Gas City. The decision is easy its the only one I can get to after work.

So lps is just a regular show for tonight but charging 2 bucks extra to get in...hmmmmm

addictedtodirt 9/9/11 11:27 AM

Kokomo was 15 to get in this past week. I don't mind the extra couple bucks as long as I know before I roll out. Hate to get there and be surprised. Besides, LPS is worth the money

69 to 465 to 70 west, take 70 west to the putnamville exit (243), right off the exit on 243, drive about 5 minutes on a fun curvy road, turn left on 40, go maybe a half-mile, if that, and LPS is on the right.

You don't even want to get on I70 west off of 465. You will be in stopped traffic for a while. Did that Wed. at noon. Construction back-up is pretty bad. Anyone else been in that mess? Kyle Clearwaters

The alternative to the construction on I-70 is to take US40. I live in Plainfield, and from my house, it's 25-30 minutes going US40 (assuming 60mph in a 55 west of Plainfield).

Here's to a good night of racing!

LPSinsider is the offical word of LPS so we are racing!

Instead of I-70 take us 40 and watch your speed as they write tickets at 62 mph.

My Radar Detector earns it's worth this summer.
The night of the big storm there was a county writing tickets at 40 & 75 in the storm.
My brother lives 6 miles east of the track and warned me that the cops are working 40 to get the I-70 guys that still run 70 or more.
The Plainfield guys have been working just west at times too. Make the drive fun.
But no tickets or pull overs yet, Knock on Wood.
